"Matured in oak casks used to age brandy, this intense ale has layers of flavor and deep complexity. Caramel and dark fruit notes blend seamlessly with burned-sugar, date, black grape, and vanilla notes from the brandy barrels - creating a truly distinct and flavorful brew."

    $4.99/12.7oz. corked

Want. Is this the same distro as the BA Dubbel, CA only?

Had the brandy barrel quad at a beer fest recently...amazing. Just wanted to see if there was any more knowledge out there on the distribution?

I think they have have Ovila brewed with plums, not barrel aged. Still a good beer though.
  7. FT: 1 bottle & Wine Barrel Aged Ovila Dubbel: ISO Abner, Citra, Poorman's DIPA etc...offers welcome. ;-)
  8. My bad. It looked like the one on the right.

I also had this at a beerfest not too long ago and loved it, really hope this is something they continue to do in the future and maybe make a little more widely available.

Ya, maybe I'll just throw something up in ISO:FT forum for now...I was hoping to find more than one bottle.

A local bar has this on tap. $5.00 pints. Yum.
  12. The wine barrel version rocks.
  13. A must find. Had it on tap a year ago and loved it

I kinda want to start a craft beer distribution company on the peninsula. That would have to do well, no?

im definetly pit stopping next time i head to RR tho ;)
  20. You as rrryanc can go in on the gas and bridge...make a trip of it. Just be sure to hit me up and bring me that '10 Bigfoot!

Not to mention the 3 hour time cost.
I do appreciate the tip, but the peninsula isn't exactly close to the north bay, unfortunately. And it seems to be largely a craft beer wasteland - at least buying bottles. If you're not buddy-buddy with the guy at Willow or somehow figure out the K&L releases, then you're largely SOL.
