Worded perfectly like a politician. Nice!
In case you haven't heard yet they will be on shelves in Madison in June . At least in Madison.
It is June!
Today is the day my friend! Can't wait to get my hands on some coffee bender without having to drive an hour. Now if they would just hurry up and can Todd the Axeman, I'll have my go to beer for the summer.
Would hope to eventually see some of the special bottles like Eight (or nine next year) and Pentagram
The bombers are incredibly overpriced, IMHO ($25... for Pentagram and Eight!?). Everything they can is great though, and at a decent price point.
It'll get into Wisconsin surly has been expanding fast it's just a matter of time.
You were getting mildly gouged. I've been grabbing Penta and Eight for $18-22.
Is today when shipments start or when stores will start selling. From the few posts on twitter in Madison, it appears that its still a few days out (and yes a few days matter here because I fly back to California thurs am).
Mt. Royal Bottle Shop in Duluth. Luckily all Surly was 20% off Memorial Day weekend so I only paid $20.
Today is when stores start receiving Surly. The actual date they start selling it will vary, depending on when the distributor actually delivers.
Tomorrow you should find it at many locations around Madison.
Thanks! Assuming we probably will only see their shelf beers in cans and nothing "special". Kinda hoping they release some stuff for us they held back but that's probably wishful thinking. Either way, Surly in my check in will be a nice parting gift.
Doom Tree will be the only one I haven't had yet.
Stores will start getting Surly on Tuesday, but it's being delivered with regular deliveries. I'm not getting my Surly until Thursday (I'm at Steve's in Fitchburg).
There aren't any special releases coming, but there is a little bit of Blakkr that should be coming with the deliveries.
Last year Pentagram was sold at some pretty crazy prices. This year you can get it for $16.99 at Costco.
I guess Pentagram isn't for me; I tried a bottle with a few friends 2 weekends ago and it tasted like brown pickle juice...
It's pretty meh, at least to me.
Todd on the other hand...
Surly is on the shelf at Hy-Vee on the west side of Madison. Coffee Bender, Cynic, Over-Rated, Furious, Doomtree, Bender and Hell Lager if I remember correctlly. No prices/labels on the shelf so I', guessing they were just put on the shelf.
Separate names with a comma.
