I don'[t get to try them too often. But for now -

    Rock Art Vermonster
    White Birch Camp Travis
    North Coast Old Stock Ale
    Stone Old Guardian
    Trout River Boneyard

Top 5 I've been fortunate enough to try:

    1. Arquebus 2009, Chardonnay Boswell Finish w/ Brett (http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/14/65689)
    2. King Henry
    3. Leon
    4. Ozymandias
    5. Cognac Church on a Hill

I think CBC easily makes some of the best BA barleywines in the country, it's too bad they don't bottle them so more people could experience them. I saw a couple people mention Blunderbuss, but personally I think Arquebus is much better. Especially the '09 with brett which is by far the best vintage- I don't know why other breweries don't experiment with brett in barleywines more.

I don't think any of those are barrel-aged.

Oh, please.... Bolt Cutter is, far and away, the greatest liquid ever put into a bottle. The sweet sweet nectar of the Gods. On the other hand, no one has tasted the rumored "Bourbon County Barleywine".

    I am FT Bolt Cutter....

I only have 7 bottles because they are going to be wæls.

I agree with this. Aside from the nectar that is Bolt Cutter, I don't really like barleywines all that much, and I'd drink the shit out of Arquebus.

Oooooooo. Now this is a thread I can dig! Great lists and excellent variation in the lists so far. Here's mine

1)King Henry (should this even really count?)
    2)BA Hi-Fi Rye
    3)Abacus
    4)Sebago Single Batch Barleywine
    5)Leon

    6)Arctic Devil
    7)Cognac Church on a Hill
    8)CW BBBW
    9)Insanity
    10)Straight Jacket

I'm going to be cracking a BA Monster29, Kuhnhenn BBBW, and an Attempted Redrum soon, so this list might (should?) change a little.

It saddens me greatly that I was too ill to attend the craft brewer's conference when Leon was there. It was the only reason I would have gone too.

I don't have many of these due to price and the fact that I just genuinely prefer barrel-free barleywines with a few years in the cellar on them. King Henry was an exception. Also liked Rock Bottom Snarleywine, Firestone Walker Double Double Barrel Ale, and Founders Backwoods Bastard (let's be realistic, these are barleywines).

They are still and can be recorked. They've already gone through quite a bit of oxidation as part of the production of the beer so they'll last quite a while.

Love barleywines – the below list is interestingly identical to my top 5 barleywines overall. Guess I prefer my barleywines BA.

    1. Baladin Terre Riserva Teo Musso 2010
    2. Firestone Walker Sucaba
    3. Baladin Xyauyù Barrel
    4. De Molen Mooi & Machtig (Cognac Barrel)
    5. King Henry

Honourable mention: Sebago Single Batch Series Barleywine

I don't think I've even had 5 different BA barleywines. I've had Sucaba, Insanity, Bolt Cutter, and Sebago's single batch.

Forgot about Insanity, that one's good too. Surprisingly huge oaky vanilla flavor for such a relatively inexpensive beer (for the style anyway). It seems like they must reuse a portion of the barrels.
