I am headed up there on Saturday afternoon with a couple of friends. If anyone wants to meet up there, let me know. I hear good things, looking forward to trying their beers for first time.

Looks like we also will be going (fingers crossed as I am on call). So far it is Jeffboyardee123, sandman, and perhaps doomXsaloon, and a couple other non BA's as well. Can't wait to see the new digs.

  6. Noted this, may try to get there for a pop. Have been there a few times and have always enjoyed!

Also, for anyone who might be coming, they have a new location at :

47-53 South Water Street, Peekskill, NY.

  8. Thanks didn't know the new location was open yet!

I was there last week. They had 3 of their house beers up and 13 guest taps (this ratio will flip flop in short order from what I understand).

And they had a starter food menu, as well. More to come...

Thanks for the update. Damn, I hope they have more than 3 on Saturday. Was really looking forward to trying Shotgun Willie.

If it's there, you will not be disappointed.

  12. I just called and got the following good/bad news:

    1) They only have 2 of their beers on currently; the berliner and CREAM. The woman did say she "wouldn't be surprised" if they add more today though.

    2) They do have TV's on the 1st floor (for football purposes), no food down there anymore though. If you want to eat, you have to go upstairs, sans TV's.

    3) Full bar (for my gf)

Crap, I am hesitant to go for just these two beers. I am thinking of pushing to next Saturday instead. Thoughts for those planning on going?

    Thanks for calling sandman.

  14. No prob. Just wanted to make sure it was a good day to go before we all caravan down there.

My thinking is that it may be best to call tomorrow around noon/1, depending on what time people want to meet, to see if it's worth it to go. I've only been 4 or 5 times, but everytime I went they had atleast 5 of their beers on and 2 or 3 of those being of the IPA variety...

I'm 50/50 on next Saturday. I may have a commitment.

My caravan would be training it up, so was planning on leaving here around 11am. Not sure if they are open that early. Maybe one last call tonight to see if the tap list has changed today. If not, not going to go up there, my whole point was for their IPAs.

  16. That's really early. If I go, it'd be 2-3 at the earliest.

The call tonight around 8:30 is a good idea though.

We were going to be arriving at 2pm or so. I live on Long Island, will take LIRR to city, then MetroNorth to Peekskill. But will call tonight and depending on what they say make the decision.

  18. Sounds awesome. Maybe I'll see you there.

When I was there last week, owner Keith was telling me that a good few taps more would be added shorty.

Do yourself a favor and get him on the phone and ask 'when'. Delaying a week or two in order to get a full spread of house beers is IMO a better plan than not.

I will be calling tonight to find out the good or bad news and don't plan on going tomorrow if there are only CREAM and Zeitgeist on tap as the home beers.

Having bad luck getting an answer to their new number. OTOH their website is now functional, including the tap list, which I can't confirm yet, but does include two extremely tempting beers from Crossroads, one of which I really enjoy when I can get it, Outrage. It has CREAM, Malibu, and their Berliner Weisse as the only of their own.

I am gonna keep trying, this is an update, but I am spent from killer day of work, gonna hit the rest of a Joya de Nicaragua, a founders Imp, and hit the Barca Lounger. If anyone else wants to call and check in:

Excellent beer from one of the best brewers out there will be up and running. I can't wait to get down there! Someone, please follow up with what they tap!

Yes, please post the tap list. I'm a bit jealous. I'm up here in Ithaca, feeling like my hometown brewery is now way down there. Get ready for some killer sours down the road a bit.

They indicated, on facebook, that they will have Amazeballs tonight. They are generally pretty good about keeping their beermenus listing and their website up to date.

Was there for the grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony.

    They had on tap
Amazeballs a single hop galaxy brew. (which was pretty damn awesome)
Eastern Standard Time (a lowkey single IPA)
    and a
    Cream ale

That was all I saw though.

I know going forward they'll be featuring a few beers...

    Cream Ale
    Amazeballs
    Eastern Standard Time
    Simple Sour
    And a steam style amber

BTW the location itself is beautiful, as it the architecture, the layout, the brewery itself and the design.

Oh and another night, not sure if everybody knows about this aspect yet.

They'll be serving all of their beers directly from the brite tank, doesn't get much fresher.

Can't tell you who I ran into there who told me this, but Shotgun Willie took off like crazy in its new tank.

What a beautiful spot, just gorgeous, cranking layout and construction. also I was drooling looking at the brew room. Designed by Chief it is a marvel of pragmatic artistry. And good news is the tank that has Simple Sour is gonna be a dedicated brett tank, so, folks, looks like living and working near to this most beautiful of New York Brewpubs is gonna get quite delicious.

And yeah Amazeballs is best thing on (not a fan of Eastern Standard truth told), and let me tell you it is just delicious, there will be no learning curve here, Amazeballs is dialed in, and I just can't fucking wait to try the rest.
