As the title says, what are your personal top 3? I'm going to do a spreadsheet and update it daily to keep track of everyone votes. I would like to get a solid opinion from all of BA as to what the top breweries in the US are. Any brewery is eligible, but please only pick 3 and rank them. I will give 5 points for each 1, 3 points for a 2, and 1 point for a 3. I'm curious to see how it will turn out after a few weeks. Feel free to post why you like each brewery if you so choose.
    My three are:
    1. Stone
    2. Hardywood Park
    3. Dark Horse

So far Cigar City and Founders with 6 points each. I will tally everything tonight while I work and give the top 3 in the morning. For now, it's sleep time, but keep the votes coming! Cheers BA!

  18. I'm still a bit of a noob so I have a lot more to drink but I'm trying my best... So far:

    1. Founders - everything I've tried of theirs is really good and FBS is close to the top on my beer list
    2. Weihenstephaner - I think everything they make is really good and if you consider the price, they are huge bang for the buck
    3. Samuel Smith - easy to get and their stouts are phenomenal (IMO) especially the chocolate

I just wish I had more access to RR and FW. But then that would lead to another problem - I'd be even more broke than I am now.

I would say Surly, but I can't get their stuff on a regular basis, so I won't count it.

And for "not in my distribution area" brewerys, AleSmith and Lost Abbey.

    At the moment....

    1. Firestone Walker (They honestly have yet to disappoint me, and Union Jack on tap is to die for in my opinion)
    2. Deschutes (So many beers from this awesome brewery that seem to always be in my fridge (Obsidian Stout, Red Chair, Mirror Pond Ale, etc.) And for the price can you honestly beat 'em?
    3. Great Divide (Yeti and all Yeti varieties, Old Ruffian, SolidIPAthatIforgetTheNameof (Its early and I'm drawing a blank) lol Need I say more?

I was gonna throw Bell's and/or Alesmith in there, but I realized I was mainly considering them for one or two of their beers (amazing though they may be)

    My 3 would be.......
    1. Three Floyds ( yes i am a fanboy)
    2. Russian River (wish i could get it on the regular)
    3. Tie between Founders and Great Lakes
But as many have said before, there are so many great breweries (local and far) that are outstanding, so its hard just to name 3.
