God you are killing me with all this stuff from Prairie! I can't wait to see the barrel saisons they churn out. I have high hopes and my fingers crossed for their project...
Had a firestone walker parabola 12 and anniversy 15. Parabola 11 next
Finally getting to try this one thanks to Dope! Watching the Hawks and hoping I don't get some bad LCL news from the doc tomorrow.
It has been a good couple of weeks around these parts. In addition to getting my hands on some of this, I also had the pleasure of having both PtE and Enjoy By on tap. To speak to the various "which DIPA is better" threads, I will say I preferred both Pliny and Enjoy By to Sucks. In the end, however, Sucks is still a great beer and I can absolutely see why people go to bat for it. The whole conversation speaks volumes about both (a) the sheer number of high-quality beers out there right now and (b) the almost surprising range of beers you can get at the top end of a single style.
Is this sacreligious? If I had to choose, I'd drink the beer by itself; but I've been recently addicted to making floats with some of my favorite beers, this one no exception.
Listening to the storm outside, playing some call of duty, drinking this gem of a DIPA that I wish I had year round. Cheers!
Moving on. Simply sublime.
That looks like an amazing, decadent treat. There are no rules, syu. Clearly.

Old bottle, general dislike or sarcasm?
Decided to take tomorrow off from my morning job so I'm having a couple. Just finished a Green Flash West Coast IPA, and currently drinking a Sculpin. I have only had Sculpin on tap, but my bottle shop dropped the price on the bombers from 10.49 to 8.49 so I grabbed one. Two bucks is two bucks. The Green Flash was excellent, but nothing compares to Sculpin for year round IPAs near me, and luckily no one really balks at the price of the 22 oz's at my bottle shop so it is always pretty fresh.
Killer band. Seems cliche to say that a band's older material was better, but it's the truth.
Olde School out of a Unibroue tulip
