I recently saw that in a store in NY, figuring it was fairly old. Glad to hear it ages well, maybe if it's still there I'll pick it up.

Happy Saturday Night BA! I raise this glass to Dean and Nate at TreeHouse Brewery, some damn fine folk that I hope to see on a regular basis. Fresh Julius is top notch!

I'm down to my last sixer of Nugget Nectar, Round 1. Either it's my mood tonight or this batch is just hitting its stride, but I like this one better than when I first got the case. Round 2 will most definitely be in the cards, then.

With a homemade bison burger on ciabatta bread, provolone, Sierra Nevada Stout stone ground mustard, Tabasco sauce and Brooklyn Brine Hop-Pickles. Was fantastic.

  9. I am really digging that table, I have a ton of bottle caps - told my wife we have to try this. Also, I am on my last sixer of Nugget Nectar as well and it is drinking better than the first - hope I can find another case.

Started with a Saison de Lente

Followed by a rutheless rye. This was definitely a nice drinker, but wasn't anything amazing

    Possibly an Inferno Ale later.

Wife and kiddos are out of town tonight so I'm 'baching it and getting an earlier start...Just tried a Urban Chestnut Brewing Company (relatively new St. Louis brewery) STLIPA (which is a DIPA)....VERY good. Enjoying it with thin crust St. Louis pizza and watching Billiken's a local evening I guess, although I've got some North Coast Old Rasputin and one last Hopslam and some Schlafly Irish Style Extra Stout cold too...decisions, decisions!! Cheers BAs!

Thanks about the tabletop. That was the practice board before I did the full bar way back in 1982 (working out all the kinks and all that)- it still makes for a good place to open bottles and catch drips and all that, and I don't mind it getting messy.

That is a funny thing about the Nugget Nectar- do you happen to know the date of your batch? Mine is from Jan 22, so maybe 3-4 weeks is the sweet spot this year.

Sipping on a bottle of Brooklyn EIPA. Not a bad beer, if it doesn't fire on all "American" cylinders like people typically expect from an IPA in this country. It is definitely more along the English style lines, which is just fine.

Been a long-ass day, though, grading all day and dealing with realtors because the owner of the house I'm living in is putting it on the market, and since I'm the only inhabitant the owner is out of state, the puts me in the middle of a lot of distraction for the rest of the semester. Fuckin' blerg, man. Oh, well.
