Got the day off work due to bad weather moving thru the area, so I figured why not.
Just made some amazing home-made guac and poured this brew:
Dos Costas Oeste. @ CCB
My last Brown Shugga
Farewell my friend, until next winter!
well that Sucks!
Nothing too crazy. Palate is still useless with the cold I have but I wanted to have a beer with all you guys!
Cheers ladies and gentlemen!
I know it's not that great, but remember loving it on-tap in UK during
honeymoon (1999) and around when I left the Bud/Miller scene:
NB Cascara Quad for lunch today. More snow=More beer in my belly.
I WISH we got snow in north JERSEY (chicago native here), everyone in NYC area freaks out over a few inches. In the last 18 months, just got a TON of rain, feel like we moved to Seattle.
I'm excited for spring, though. Spring=More beer in my belly, too...it's just outside instead of on my couch
I had to up my BA score because it tastes better than I remember the other four being.
For today's snow fall.
Ferris Bueller you're my hero.
After finding all this.
Cold rainy day here. Just got off work. Thought I'd do an afternoon beer while watching el Classico.
After a week of stomach flu, enjoying a nice local Sun King Cream Ale.
Switched it up a bit...Founder's Imperial Stout with my snowy afternoon. Cheers!
Just got absolutely buried in snow here in Chicago. Gonna slam a shitty leftover Sol or two with some lime before I go try to dig my way out. Saving my good beers for later
Fruh Kolshe, Dreaming of warmer days ahead!
Got a nice bonus at work and celebration continues. I like this one better than the Cantillon.
Found as in didn't know they were in your cellar or found as in they actually touched a shelf somewhere in a retail store?
A little Hopslam on tap. It's delicious.
My store had them waiting for me "found"
Now getting into some FW Velvet Merlin..... love this stout, smooth and a nice low abv. Cheers people!
Beautiful day out here on the west coast. Sorry to all you guys snowed in
Great Lakes Alchemy Hour
Dark Horse Double Crooked Tree
Maybe a Short's Goodnight Bodacious or Alpha King next...
Blue is enjoying a case of Two Hearted.
I'm surprised you're even remotely interested in Cantillon - can't you brew that shit on the regz?
Having one of my favorite everyday go-to IPAs with new appropriate glassware
And jammin some Mr. Bob Seger...
On to the tripel:
You're my boy, Blue!
Braving the storm w/ some of the mighty old school...
...what a classically great tasting brew to revisit. Cheers all!
I'm having an alesmith robust porter at 38 degrees in Alhambra, with a nice juicy steak, with asparagus, and some red stuff I just learned is a beer and yam purée. Awesome food, awesome place and awesome beer... They even have Pliny on tap!
New one for me today, just arrived in a Box o' brews from a trade with teamwiggum...
Hot damn....this stuff is....everything I imagined it could be, and then some. I could see myself sitting here, drinking 10 of these before realizing that I was majorly f#$ked up. Bravo, Sprecher!
Opening up a Bell's Hopslam as the Indiana/Minnesota game tips off. Go Hoosiers!
