    Good morning BA's!

Just the other day I was wishing I had picked this up when it was at my usual bottle shop and then today while at a grocery store I don't usually frequent I saw they had two 4-packs left so I happily picked one up.

Of course I had to try them both to properly compare the pumpkin and spice affects on the two styles of beer! Just doing my due diligence.

I enjoyed both very much, though I think I preferred the Tripel over the Baltic Porter. In the Tripel the pumpkin and spice were more complimentary notes while in the porter they seemed more the focal point.

Enjoying them both while watching a great Western:

It's a bad sign when you can smell the soy sauce before opening the bottle. Rotted cork (still popped a little when opened). 1995 bottle. Rotten plums, soy sauce, raisins... and the angel of death.

The perfect drink at 8:30am! *dies*

I posted one of the "unwritten rules" the other day. If you get a bad beer or a beer you don't like , you get another .

May I most respectfully say, sir, that without question, and with admiration, you are a madman. And I mean that in the best way possible.:) Cheers!

  12. I have the next two days off and was planning on enjoying my last Wake 'N' Bake (courtesy of @skinsfan ) with breakfast this morning. An unexpected, and most unwelcome, trip to the dentist yesterday changed all that. Fortunately, this was awaiting me ...

Not disappointing in the least, and not a bad way to settle in and watch the replay of Saturday night's That Metal Show, either.

    Cheers, BA's!!!

  24. Having a basic ham, bacon, lettuce sandwich plus some hot pork skins. I'm starting with Anderson Valley Spring Hornin', definitely not a "wow" beer. I'm also trying to drink down the supply in the frig so I can go buy more.

Unbelievably enough, an absolutely delicious Speedway Stout at a local place while having lunch. Tastes perfect.

I can get used to days like this. Moving on to an Alpha king and some Hummus for lunch all while catching up on episodes of Top Gear (UK).
  34. I'm in Burlington, VT in midwinter. Skiing, you ask? Nah, I'm a beer tourist, and I am in a cold beer heaven.
So many great beers here, and I am trying to sample them all. I have three cases of these for the trek home.
I'm having one right now, it's snowing and I'm tucking in for the afternoon. Cheers!

Short work day due to the threat of snow. It didn't start snowing heavily until just a short time ago.
I'll enjoy this, and shovel later.
