  1. Beautiful Friday afternoon in western Germany. We had a good heat blast earlier in the week but it has started to cool down. Six weeks from today I will be spending my first full day in Dover, Delaware for the next four years of my life. After some house cleaning today it is time to watch the U.S. Open and enjoy an American beer.

  4. Day 5 of CBFBOBW+, so I'm having this tasty American IPA from Canada, thanks to @SebD. Nice and piney, bitter, classic example of the style:

  7. Nice smoked beer.

  8. I got one of these in Arlon about 3 weeks ago. Mine is still in the fridge. How is it drinking?
  9. I like it. It's less smoked than schlenkerla. Mouthfeel is also a bit thicker. Would buy it again.

  18. Just had a Boulevard Pop Up IPA on tap at the BBC. I pronounce it my favorite among the new session IPAs.

In the Detroit airport... Asked the waitress for beer list. After naming off ten BMC, she says and a couple of locals.

I asked which locals, and she says an Irish red, American red, IPA, and a Porter.

After 20 questions, it turns out the porter was Edmund Fitzgerald. Yes, please.

  24. Never seen that one before. Is it good?

  25. *Bill Lumbergh Voice*

Yeah, when you're finished with that, if you could just rinse out the glass, pack it carefully and ship it to me, I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

Still one of my favorites after mowing the lawn today. A couple of these will do nicely. Also a big heartfelt thank
you to everyone for their kind words yesterday. I sincerely appreciate it.

Now let's get the weekend started!

Tastes refreshing which was what I was hoping for to kick off the session. I've only ever had two Bocks so I am a stranger to the style. There was nothing off putting about this beer. A malt bomb.

Beer review #824. Half Acre Daisy Cutter Pale Ale.

Just now did I finally see this beer in my area for the first time. I don't know why it took two years for Half Acre to show up around here, but I'm glad they finally did.
