Really great. Malt sweetness up front followed by vinegar sourness. Love me some Flemish ale.
Another great IPA

Bomber of Helltown Spiteful Saison . Dig it
First one of the New Year!
Another gem from FW and my first Union Jack; these guys really make good beer!
About to have a Cambridge House Big Hoppy!
$4.99 a 12-pack at my local. Nawt baddddd.
Bro works there...should hit shelves in a couple days.
Sunday is the release party...
What was your take on the Rye on Rye? I sampled it again over Christmas, felt that it had lost something since summer. My wife felt the same way. What was your perspective?
I finally gathered the courage to open a beer...
Jolly Pumpkin's Oro de Calabaza
Good to see you drinking again ..
My Dad surprised me today at New Year's Day dinner with this purchase, which is a huge step up for him. Not bad a beer either, not great but not bad. Happy New Year everyone.
Enjoyable enough but one of those beers where I just don't "get" where all the love for it comes from.
Day one: 2013 is going to be delicious.
My first of 2013, as I didn't stay up late last night. Also my last free day before returning to work.
First I've had this brew, and I'm seriously impressed. This is a damned good one.
Is it bad to open with one bottle opener, and take a picture of another?
Moving onto this:
It's interesting to say the least. Really big on the oak and caramel while the citrus from the hops come through in the after taste. It was bottled in June so I wonder what the extra few months did to the hops. Would be interested to try this fresh.
My fav! Wish I was sipping one now...
Hanging out at Mellow Mushroom and enjoying a few beers on tap.
Left Hand Milk Stout Nitro
Happy New Year to everyone! Had good friends over earlier for our traditional pork a sauerkraut while killing a fresh growler of Victory Hop Wallop. Now it's Harpoon Leviathan Imperial IPA and watching the Rose Bowl. Whatta a great day!
My first brew of the year is an '09 Dicks Double Diamond Ale. I'n going to be so sad when this keg dies.
My friend your font is different than all others. I say this only because I'm a little odd.
First beer of 2013, on tap for a brief moment at Monk's:
* not my pic obviously, given the bottle
2006 Cantillon Monk's Cafe Cuvee Gueuze
This is pretty solid for those of you on the west coast. I'll be sure to grab more for xtras
I'm drinking a Celebration right now, too. (I'm going to miss that beer.)
But it is in my book a legitimate post! Stay hydrated my friend!
What do you mean miss?
It's a seasonal.
Ok, thought you meant something else..
First beer of the year.......yes I did not drink in the new year. It is good it is (not sure if that sounds like Yoda or Bigfoot from the Stern show).
Fantôme de Noel
and a lovely cheese plate
I remember enjoying Fantôme de Noelmore the last couple years. I suspect the new labels that Fantôme is using is affecting the quality of the beer <a facetious remark>.
im guessing you don't have kids, or don't work second/third shift.
I NEED that glass! Please!
