Enjoying Boulevard Harvest Dance...
Oskar Blues Old Chub Scotch Ale
A little late to the picture show but I've been drinking up a few of the loose bottles cluttering my fridge.
Started out with this,
Ending it with a couple of these.
Just enjoyed my first Wake n Bake (delicious) and am now on to a Karl Strauss Wreck Alley. Another fine imperial stout.
I've always had a bit of a crush on this beer.
Ten Fidy and now a Widmer Pitch Black IPA. Catching up on the K St game on the DVR.
Southern Tier Harvest Ale. Probably a bit old, but got it in the singles rack to try. It's OK, kinda bland, but decent. And actually decent is better than how I would describe Southern Tier Pale Ale or IPA, so I guess that is good.
Big thanks to sleuthdog!!
Liked this post mostly because of the background
Now onto Founders Imperial Stout (this stuff is soooooo good as usual) and Watching Goodfellas for the 3rd time this week, Tommy just got wacked.
Drinking a Rodenbach Grand Cru while watching the Fiesta Bowl! Hoping Bill Snyder can rally the troops at halftime and lead kansas State to a victory!!!
Boom. Headshot. This beer is epic.
Meth > Bud Light
Hill Farmstead Brewery Everett. Shit. I love the note on the label: Everett 1908-1939 was our grandfather's brother, Hill Farmestead Brewery rests upon the land that was once home to him and his 13 siblings...... Sort of reminds me of my own grandfather's farm, who passed away a few years ago... But my grandma still lives there, in the house that my grandpa actually grew up in....
...oh, and the beer is tasty as well
After trying the 50/50 blend, perhaps called a...
Heaven and Hell - jlenik & dachshunddude86
Drainpour - Steimie
Liquid Death - Hugonau
f*** getting up tomorrow - scud
Around the World in 120 Minutes - BrewStew58
I tried each one individually. I don't believe that there's a gestalt here. The parts are superior to the blend. Oddly, the Dark Horse version (Double Crooked Tree and Plead the 5th) are as revelatory blended as they are on their own.
Lagunitas Sucks (doesnt suck)
and Sierra Nevada Bigfoot
Let's see. Last night I had an Abrasive and since then I have had...
WILD TURKEY BARREL AGED....
And now a nightcap. From 2007...
August Schell's Firebrick.
Fairly certain heaven and hell is the "official" name - as I you can order them by that name at the DFH tap room in Fairfax, VA when they have both on tap.
I had a couple of bottles of Brooklyn Winter Ale and I've moved on to Duvel. No pictures. I'm not sure if I'll have anything after this.
Just starting my first Founders Imperial Stout. Wow! What a complex brew. Think I gots to get some more.
Just finished up my Hopsecutioner(s) and closing out with this beauty:
What a great mouth feel and the creaminess of the nitro is just amazing. Well done!
Had a Ranger IPA at dinner and a Surly Furious while packing up some beer for trades.
Lagunitas IPA (clearing out the fridge from NYE party, lot of random but good beers ppl brought over).
I'll take a close 5th place!
Loving the Fiesta Bowl, have a Deschutes Obsidian cooling in the fridge to celebrate when Oregon wins. For now, let's have some Michigan beer.
My IPA fix for the night.
now onto this.
maybe a stout next?
Started with my last Celebration now on to the nightly Abrasive fix.
Wish I had another bottle:
Starting to get worn down on dark stuff already this winter, so I'm getting my hop on with a Crooked Tree IPA.
This is probably the nightcap for me. Cheers!
How is it drinking? I have a few bottles to age and I didn't enjoy this fresh back in May...
A little Zombie Dust before bed and a trip to Hill Farmstead tomorrow!
I still need to get around to making this concoction!
