Moving on to an Olde Mecklenburg Brewery Bauern Bock, going down easier than this 14-0 skins lead. RGIII I love ya, but you are playing for the devil. Time for some beast mode, release the skittlles!
Once again thanks to Deltoro for this. Probably enjoyed Backwoods Bastard a bit more because it had a much better mouthfeel.
Millstream - Schild Brau Amber
I bought a few of these the other day. Trying one now and aging the rest
My buddy got back from Afghanistan, so I decided to open something he loves for him.
Sorry to hear that, man. Fresh, or even reasonably so, I think it's a really good DIPA. Leans towards the tropical, mango type ales. IMHO. Good stuff.
Chillin' with some SN Ruthless Rye as I watch a pretty good game.
SN Narwhal....mmmmm Narwhals...
Still drinking Wipeout in batman glass. Watching some football with my brother and the Mrs.
Wow, I'm surprised. What do yo mean by "better" mouthfeel" I feel like BA Big Sound is much creamier, where Backwoods has a bit of a prickly feel. Obviously all opinion! Cheers man! Glad you got to try this
Cracked open my Big John for the Ravens win...
Westvleteren XII. First time.
Starting the evening with a Troegs Pale Ale.
Cheers to hockey and beer!
To me the big sound is easier drinking but a little on the light side. Its not watery, but a little to light for a scotch ale in my opinion. Of corse my view may be skewed because I had been drinking a bunch of Sheep Shagger lately and it has a thick chewy mouthfeel.
Lighthouse - Switchback IPA, tropical hop bomb!
Hopslam, fresh Hopslam!
You heading to Amherst on the 26th?
I have to say as its warming the mouthfeel is definitly becoming more thick and creamy.....
could be the best beer for the price...
Yeah me and my buddy will be there
On to one of my wifes favorite beers- tastes liked iced coffee-
Cleaning out the fridge a bit today, starting with a Hoegaarden.
I was in the mood for a good hefeweizen. Hopf does it right, but what else would you expect?
Not sure of bottle date, picked up about a month ago, no chilli pepper, just coffee, hazelnut, chocolate, vanilla.. definitely worth the $4.50
Cracking open my Killer Penguin Barleywine Ale from Boulder Beer Company. Checked the reviews after I bought it and I hope my opinion is different. First Barleywine for me also. Rrrrrrrr, cant post pics from tablet or phone. Ill figure it out.
Central Waters BBS. Good stuff, great price!
Ratt and Roll!
had 2 pints @ Busters of great IPA'S watching the Ravens
Kind of a random beer here. Bought for me by my girlfriend a few months ago. She said she new it's not a style I like but she remember it from her time living in Germany. Apparently it's everywhere in that country.
Drank and wrote a review of Flying Fish's Grand Cru Winter Reserve. It's pretty good. Nothing surprising, nothing excellent, and nothing particularly bad, either.
Tonight I will have Rogue-hazelnut brown nector. then a Goose Island-Matilda
Love that glass!!!
A toast to you OU fellas from our tailgate at the Cotton Bowl this weekend ... Gig em
And to cap a kickass weekend:
Last beer for me today, thanks robL
Can't wait! How is this years batch? Last years batch had huge variation in quality based on bottling date, some were really harsh, others were amazing. I cant wait to get a hold of this years version of my favorite DIPA!
I never do this, but I figure this would be a fun time to start since I am moving from CA to CT in 5 days, so I have to work through some of my beers to make room in my car for the move.
Drinking these in order and mind you most of these are drain pours since I can't finish them all to move on"
Sublimely self righteous
Scalids Noel 09
Expedition stout 07
After this moving on to Fruet
