First one of these. Haven't reached a conclusion about it yet.
One of my home brews, a Russian Imperial Oak Bourbon Vanilla Stout.
Didn't get a chance to post yesterday, spent part of the afternoon at Tired Hands for a bottle release (HandFarm - a saison aged in white wine barrels) and hanging with other BA'rs.
Then came home and split a Sweet 16 with Millerbuffoon, was an all around GREAT DAY!
You are sitting by a pool and I am freezing my testicals off in 9degree weather. I guess you could say I am just a tad bit jealous
I am in Ohio - it's here my friend.
Somehow I've never had this before. Enjoying my first one of these along with a heady veggie quesadilla with mushrooms, onions, broccoli, spinach and srirachi.
Had a tasting last night and forgot to post these. The Lost Abbey was a 2011 and it was great would love to have a fresh one now. Also that is a 2009 120 minute and well.... thats not a ipa anymore its a straight up boozy old ale. FT in case anyone wants a few bottles lol. Drinking the Pliny right now while watching Sopranos finishing up packing a box.
Sounds like an awesome day! How is the Handfarm? Also, that homebrew sounds delicious.
Heady. For real, tonight. Opened the can about five minutes ago, and it's almost halfway gone—way too easy to drink.
Anyway, I hear CNY's about to see Ballast Point tomorrow for the first time that I'm aware of (since at least before I started drinking), so something new may be in my fridge by the end of the week
ISO: That homebrew! Bourbon vanilla stout. Killer label.
Sweet , thanks for the heads up , I'll be picking a case up Friday
Its my favorite thread series too, although I find myself drinking more now that I am a part of it on a consistent basis.
Drinking my grandpa's favorite beer in honor of his passing today. Tastes pretty darn good tonight.
Attack of the giant beer-drinking dog:
Founders Backwoods Bastard - Bourbon Barrel Aged Scotch Ale
not such a sucky day. Gino's knots, sucks, idiot brother
no pics again tonight, but I'm finishing off my 4 pack of Green Flash - Double Stout
Drinking the last of my Zombie Dust right now.. probably some '10 B.O.R.I.S. later.. cheers..
Lagunitas Sucks! Just got this in my area and I will be buying the entire the supply. I don't even care that it's $11.99 for a six pack. It is just that damn good.
Later on, I'll be having a FIS...or more Sucks.....probably gonna break my 3-4 beer/week rule and have all the Sucks.
Second night in a row enjoying this. I will be the first to say that Russian Imperial Stouts are not really my cup of tea but this one seems to go down alright. Just trying to switch it up for a few days before I go back on another multiple week IPA binge with all these big hitters coming out!
Courtesy of an LNBA'er, thanks Wes.
Heard so many good things about Red Thunder, had to give it a try...
lives up to the hype, delicious! Cheers
This didn't wow me at first, but it reveals a decent depth to it after a while.
My first ever white rajah thanks to WesM63

Another awesome dog documentary for all you canine connoisseurs...
The Peanut Butter beer thread has led me to open my next to last bomber of Liquid Bliss. DAMN YOU BA!!!
Step 1) thicker pants and layers
Step 2) will be arriving in a few days
about to crack my first Scotty Karate
This one caught me off guard. I enjoy DFH, brown ales, and wood aged beers, so I had high hopes. Did not expect to need to collect my socks and underwear from the ceiling fan though.
Sorry to hear about your Grandpa. I lift my pint of Vertex IPA in his honor.
Zombie Dust followed Bourbon County Coffee, because the wife is watching the Bachelor
SanTan Sex Panther 2012 (Double Chocolate Porter)
60% of the time, it works every time... Which is appropriate, because while it doesn’t taste or smell like Bigfoot’s dick or a a turd covered in burnt hair, I’d still rate it about a 6/10. Not much chocolate and just kind of your run of the mill porter.
Cellar cleansing in progress
The Light That Spills Out Of The Hole In Your Head.
So what you're saying is that you know what Bigfoot's dick tastes like
Sharing this with the wife tonight. Delicious beer, nice carbonation, twang and just the right amount of sweetness.
