Enjoying my last Celebration:
Immediately thought of this song!
Saison De Lente, enjoying this one. Cheers!
Made my day to find a sixer of Tazmanian!
I had to crack open a favorite for the Michigan State/Ohio State game.
Heading to Buffalo Wild Wings for dinner and then world of beer. Haven't had anything yet but looking forward to a Saturday night at place not filled with BMc!
At a local microbrewery. Had an oatmeal stout, now drinking a black apa, and planning on finishing with an English barleywine. Cheers!
Extra special because you can't buy Deschutes in England. Bloody delicious, so glad I know American students who go home for Christmas.
Pre-gaming for the local minor league hockey game tonight, went with this:
Red Rock Secale, doppelbock aged in rye barrels. It's ... well, I'm not a fan. Interesting, though.
Solid stuff.. cheers!
Well my hockey team lost. It is all good though. The refs didn't blow the game, they play again tomorrow at noon and for now I can watch another round of games at 7 Tonight. Cheers to that and to WnB!
Growler of Gandhi Bot should keep me through the evening!
OK, so that last one was a half drain pour. Oh, well, what do you get for not trying? A chance to miss a great beer, I guess. So on I try. And while maybe not as fresh as could be, this next one (a 'try' too; and I mean I like North Peak Diabolical, Wanderer and Hoodoo) turned out to be only a bit stale and but pretty good still a few months out. Redemption for trying.
Then again, not really even knowing what they mean by wheat IPA. It's an IPA, seems to me...
For this cold windy night, I had to open up a Surly Darkness. Delicious as always.
Started with a Lawson's Maple Nipple at Three Penny Taproom in Montpelier, VT
Now having a Lawson's Kiwi Double IPA at home.
While watching some of the MSU vs tOSU game.
my first wake n bake and i like!
I originally started buying Ommegane because it was made locally in NY and right down the road from the hall of fame, but I keep drinking them because they really are a quality beer. This is a very good "non-Belgian" Quad
No photos yet, although I got some greatest hits lined up for tonight-
Rodenbach Grand Cru
Brooklyn Black Chocolate Stout
but, I might just be in the mood for a curveball somwhere along the line- so I also picked up some of these:
waaaay better than Leffe Blonde, and definitely fits the bill when you are in the mood for an Abbey single. Cheers!
I remember browsing the forums awhile back and read a thread titled "what're some of the most underrated breweries out there?" or something to that affect. Anyways, one of the first posts nominated Saint Somewhere.. If my memory serves me correctly, it was robinsmv who recommended it. I Googled Saint Somewhere and thought to myself.. "that brewery does look promising/interesting.. and their website uses random reviewers from BA to promote their lineup"
this beer is pretty dang good IMO
Firestone 16. Much better than 15 was.
Good Evening BA's
I dont know why they call this "sucks", It doesnt suck at all!
LETS GO BRUINS!
Pretty stoked to find a couple singles of this today. Seems a lot hoppier than normal.
i would like to dedicate the following song to my beer this evening.
edit: forgot to thank ehammond1 for the beer!
After spending the afternoon at Bell's Vintage Tasting enjoying Expedition '07, '08, and '09, plus Third Coast '09, Cherry Stout '08, Eccentric Ale '04, and Black Note '11, I felt I had to bring it with one of my favs...great, great beer day! Cheers all!
