    Morning, BA's

It is a (pleasantly) cooler, less humid kind of day....love it!

Good stout weather.....think this is the last one of these guys in my cellar....tasting great!

Several of my hop bines I planted from last season are setting burrs already....growing great! Going to have a lot of fresh hop cones for brewing this fall!

Good morning BAs! Well, thanks to the internet, I finally got to try this:

I'm liking this - if I can find a case somewhere within driving distance I'll buy it. It really doesn't taste like a RIS, more like a spicy regular stout, easy on the roasted malt. Even the belches are tasty!

The new stove (yesterday) that now serves as my photo stand.

Six fifteen am here in Northern California. Today we go inland and begin exploring Napa and its wine/food (and maybe a beer or two). So something lite to start: Pyramid Hefeweizen. A zippy wheat ale.

Weihenstephaner Vitus. Perhaps my very first weizenbock. And a fine one to start with, to be sure.

I know what this is not. It's NOT THE STOIC. Have not had the stoic, but apparently this is not it. What this is, is really really good. Love the pomegranate and molasses. Dark fruits throughout. The 12 percent is well hidden.

Following the stoic...,er not the stoic with this sweet bomb. Very tasty, just like creme brulee. Lots of vanilla. A tad too sweet for me.

Nice looking vines. I have thought about growing them , but do not have a place for something that grows that big. Besides after that I would have to plant some barley.....and do an open fermentation to have a beer that comes from my backyard.
