First, go Bulls!
Taste can be described as...
Bulls game and this..
Don't know how this turned into a beer night, but it did...
Here's some great luck: ever walk into the beer store and just spot something that wasn't there before, and it turns out you stumbled onto something really cool?
So, randomly, grabbed a bottle of this - really just cuz' the bottle looked interesting - I had absolutely no idea what I was buying, y'know? Really, I was just going in for the Westmalle tripel...
Thomas Hardy's Ale
Bottled in 2008
Nice little medallion hanging from under the foil...
Turns out it's an old ale - a style of which I am very fond...
In the light you can see a little sediment in there...
Lately I have had some real random good luck with English old ales (this and Fuller's Vintage Ale). Can't tell me the English don't have this shit figured out pretty well, eh?
If you're a fan of the style or an advocate in general, this is a no-brainer.
And get this, later (meaning, when I finish this, lol), I'm gonna have an Uncle Jacob stout (lol) - good thing I'm going in late tomorrow - lol... good times, yo...
Spontaneous beer nights rule!
Huge thanks to quirkzoo. LYMI.
Dat glass. Recent purchase?
Gonna follow one of these with a Sucks.
Makes you reevaluate what the word "benchmark" means
And now ono a local offering...
For tonight. Look....it's a damn good porter. Is it worth $7.49 a pint? In my opinion no.
Nothin' but Upslope tonight.
Now onto this...
Thanks nick, NSK79!
Finishing my first Westy 12 . . . thinking deep, deep thoughts.
Bulls basketball and...
That's a beautiful looking beer!
A little JW Lees Harvest Ale, 2008 vintage... Vey tasty
Jack's Abby - Kiwi Rising
All hail the Double Imperial Lager! (sorry no picture too difficult on IPad)
First time trying this one, I've liked most of the Atwater brews I've had so far and this one is pretty good too.
It's definitely on the lighter side for an imperial stout, but I don't think that's a bad thing. I've been drinking quite a few 'big' stouts lately and this is a refreshing change. Some nice milk chocolate flavors and can't taste a bit of 11%. Pretty solid stout in my book.
milwaukees best ice.... three 24oz. tall boys for $3.38 ............. how cool is that
Having another Two Hearted Ale. Wow, where has this beer been all my life.
Black Note. Picked up a case at Bell's a couple of weeks ago and, finally, cracked one open. What the f*** was I waiting For?
Fresh growler of peach jai alai tonight.
Gotta get rid of these Sucks. Taking up to much room in my fridge.
Having a Santa Fe Brewing Black IPA:
Listening to Texas Hippie Coalition:
My cousin lives in Eugene and brought this to Thanksgiving for me. Thanks to her. This is well done.
Two of my favourite things in one picture: snowboarding and beer.
Finishing up some DFH Olde School Barleywine tonight.
I am on a semi-quest to drink all the Beers of Fame...and whatever else strikes my fancy in the meantime. To that end, tonight started with....

That stuff is evil... 10%?
Supposed to be in the teens tonight, so I thought I'd stick to some good dark beers. Starting with this...
In November when the hubby and I hit up our local breweries for our anniversary..
