Went to Kuhnhenn this afternoon with a friend. He was basically a craft beer convert because of me recently lol.
My friend left with a 6 pack of BB4D, and I left with about 80 bucks worth of beer. Not even upset.
Nice fruit ale. Enjoyable stuff.
Very good O-Fest. Nicely robust and balanced.
Holy shit, the cork got a head-shot on my ceiling after I removed the cage. Damn nice Belgian; nicely balanced and complex
Lagunitas sucks of course... "I'm a product of my environment, things that occur! Events that take place!"
A few that I had tonight
what years was the Nightsatlker. I have a 11 I looking forward too. Was it bad or infected.
As a weekend warrior musician, that's very inspiring. It's amazing what one can do with a "looper", thanks for sharing and I really enjoyed that one!
Sweet review, I just had one you described it perfectly.
Thanks! That was actually a tough beer to review lol
Eagle Rare + Godzilla ftw!
Nightcapping with a SN Celebration after 2 BCBS....Great Night. Cheers and good night to all!!
Way better than ba abraxass!
Too buzzed and tired to take another picture , but I am finishing the night off with this...........yum yum yum
Wow! I've never seen one like that before, does anyone know what it's called? "Extremely unique" is the best description I can come up with, it's sort of like the Sam Adams glass with a major boob job. (!!!!!!!)
I couldn't resist
Logsdon can do no wrong here
Just tell them, "Make more!"
Logsdon Peche 'n Brett (batch 2)
Had an 11 a month or so ago not impressed and frankly hard to drink.
I say, take comfort in knowing that beauty remains intact, regardless of recognition.
But yeah. The Biebs has . . . a different niche in the artistic ecosystem that is the music industry. Still important, but a very different niche. (I suppose it's pretty telling that it's referred to as an industry, after all, isn't it?)
Love Buzz from Anchorage Brewery. Best. Beer. I've. Ever. Had. No. Joke.
Andrew Bird is a great musician, man! I only got into him less than five years ago, but his entire catalog is worth a gander.
heady topper followed by a wake n bake. nice mellow saturday night after an afternoon of michigan brewery hopping.
Anyway, had Gordon Biersch's Winter Bock this evening, and it was alright. Decent, dark-ish bock.
'Never heard of him before and now I'm going to delve into his stuff to see what else he has out there and I'm expecting to find alot more good stuff. Thanks again!
Thank God I finally finished the world class banana and clove flavors of Weihenstephaner hefe weiss bier. Onto a Hollandia euro Lager to wash the horrid taste out of my mouth, then some Dundee Irish Red. Can't wait for the tallboy Schlitz Gusto. May have to play some Stones to rid me of the memory.
Not bad at all. I'm digging this one.
Batch #79 Hair of the Dog Fred. I miss Hair of the Dog
I plead the 5th on that one because the Bieb sounds like a hooting seizure and I just learned about Andrew Bird tonight for the first time.
St. Pauli Girl Special Dark
Righteous! I love me some Andrew Bird. He used to play with the Squirrel Nut Zippers some, if you remember them. He's extraordinarily knowledgeable of American heritage music, like 19th and early 20th century folk songs, and actually teaches on the subject sometimes. But as much as I love him, he can be a bit cerebral and a bit of a downer for me to listen to him daily.
I'd recommend starting with Weather Systems, The Mysterious Production of Eggs, and Armchair Apocrypha in any order really, but definitely start with those three and then delve into his other stuff.
Somewhat new to craft beer so Im sampling as much as I can from regional breweries. Hitting up Heavy Seas tonight with Peg Leg (Imperial Stout) which is just okay and Winter Storm, which is an ESB that I am really digging.
Big fan of Sam. Never had this, tho'. Good?
Not bad at all. I'm digging this one.
Drinking this Old Raspy after a long day in the big city. Very rich with some nice flavors underneath.
I usually don't post without a pic in these threads but tonight I had three BMC guys convert to my three twelvelers (sp?) of Sierra Nevada Pale Ale.
I might have better details if not for the Rum and Cokes.....
2011 insanity. You guys need to try this
Thanks for the recommendation, FM! Dumb question before researching ( ) , is he on iTunes?
God this beer is always ugly. Thankfully its stupid delicious and a bargain price!
You're a dog!
First time I've gotten leather from a beer.
When are they releasing the 2013 batch?? Had a 2012 this past week from my cellar and it was awesome. Unfortunately I enjoyed it more than the '11 (it's all personal preference) and with alot less floaties.
Indeed Day Tripper is quickly becoming one of my favorite APAs.
Van Morrison brings me close to my spiritual connection with God. Well, that and good beer.
