I bought a number of IPA bombers from MadeInOregon and they have all underwhelmed me. Not one of them has a bottled date either.

All the ones I had initially were fine, then I saw the infected thread on here, after that they were all soured. Thanks a lot BA... At least it's coming back again soon and all issues should be cleared up. Great beer when it's not all... well, fucked up.

Started off the afternoon after a very long day at work with old reliable: Sierra Nevada Pale Ale in a can.

Having an Old Rasputin with the pancakes my wife made for dinner.

Got it from a local establishment...they have had BCBS on tap for longer than 24 hours and it hasn't kicked, kind of my "go-go hole in the wall" pub...

  10. Yeah well they do say to drink them right away as the infection needs time to develop. I needed to see for myself because when fresh I didn't really taste the sour over all the coffee.

While at the 2012 HF harvest festival, we had a 2oz pour of birth of tragedy poured directly from Shaun. It was amazing. Three months later, we capitalized on our HF haul and had the chance to try some BoT again.... REALLY ENJOYING THIS. What a fantastic beer. Cheers all!

Unexpectedly, a 2011 Goose Island Matilda appeared on the shelf of my neighborhood package store, shuffled in unassumingly among her 2012 sisters, and, even though I'm stupid and ugly, she let me take her home with me.

I'm so in love that I hope you are too.

Done with the Jubelale. And now, for something completely different, I'm sipping on a homemade apple schnapps that a friend of mine gave me. Bloody yummy!

I am not hard to please really and I give everything a fair chance and yes believe it or not my "noob" palate did not understand BCBS, even though I do like bourbon. But next year I will buy some more and try fresh and age a couple.

  31. Drinking a harpoon czernobog. I'm a bit confused. Its much sweeter than I would anticipate a RIS to be. Im getting a ton of dark fruit. Maybe a small amount of chocolate. Bought it in a build your own sixer. Probably wouldnt buy again. Harpoon has always kind of been a "meh" brewery to me

You don't get a lot of opportunities to drink a porter in Germany, so when the local brewpub made one I bought a one-liter bottle to take back home. Not bad at all. I asked the bartender what the difference was between this and a stout and it started a big argument behind the bar. Unfortunately it was in German and I couldn't understand most of it.
