I'm on a frantic search for Founder's Frangelic Mountain Brown Ale!!!
Here, here...it was my 1st of the style and will never forget it. Lol I still have the damn bottle, if I knew they would go the way they did, Young's, I would have saved a Ramrod and Oatmeal Stout bottle.
Man, when I 1st started drinking @ the dawn of the 90's we put back a LOT of Miller's Lowenbrau, regular & dark, when we couldn't find or couldn't afford the early craft, then called microbrew...in NE Ohio we were infected by the bug thanks to Great Lakes, Crooked River & the brief Western Reserve.
Wishin' I would have seen the Oatmeal Stout, not sure how long ago that it was produced, or if Troegs was in Ohio. I agree w/the Java Head, I'll continue to try it, but I was underwhelmed initially. Especially after Troegenator & Nugget Nectar
DFH Festina Lente
New Holland's Full Circle, when it was an aged "single malt ale", before they ruined it by making it a kolsch. Damn, that was rich, tasty, and totally sessionable.
CBS is going to be brewed again either this year or next year according to a Founders rep I talked to last fall.
Any Anniversary addition from Stone. Especially V.
Anheuser-Busch "LA" beer. What delicious, flavorful stuff that was... NOT !!!!!
And I'm more than a little surprised no one has said this :
the way people are trading for it, brandy vanilla dark lord
it was like the third post
i just had their imperial ipa on tap twice in the past couple months?
discount still has some.
I think I saw a bottle at my local shop the other day. I could check again for you if you'd like.
Ken and Fritz from Sierra Nevada 30th Anni. Collection was beyond awesome. I really loved that beer.
Are you referring to the Hallertau Imperial Pilsner? I ask because thats immediately what I thought of after reading the thread title.
It hasn't been bottled in years and finding it on tap is damn near impossible.
Yeah my bar got some a couple months ago and then a few weeks ago again
Yes I am. Stuff was great.
I've had that and the PVW version. Shits the tits!
Yep. Unreal beer.
Harpoon Ale. Nothing fancy, just a perfectly balanced session ale. Bring it back, please.
The Japanese Green Tea IPA was the best beer of 2011 Imho. I'd like to see how I feel about it now ... I paid $5 bucks a pop for many, all proceeds to a great cause.
Dear Mr. Weyerbacher-
please bring back the best beer you ever brewed- Fireside Ale- and sell it for $8 a four-pack again. I promise to more than double my purchasing quota from last time. Seriously.
Coopers Sparkling Ale when it was in those giant 25 oz "Fosters" cans.
Young's Special London Ale. Sheaf Stout from Australia. Beamish from Ireland. Grants Scottish. Ballantine IPA. Catamount Porter and Catamount Christmas Ale. And of course MacAndrews Scotch Ale.
ditto all that- especially the Sheaf.
In no particular order:
1.) King Henry (so I could buy the case the dude at the store offered me, instead of 3 bottles)
2.) Summit's Imperial Pumpkin Porter (crazy good dark pumpkin beer, and in a sixer!)
3.) Young's Winter Warmer and Old Nick Barleywine (never got to try them)
4.) Black Sheep's Russian Imperial Stout
5.) Gale's Prize Old Ale (so I could have it w/just a year or two on it)
almost forgot, Harveys Elizabethan Ale, has anyone seen in it in the last 4 years?
Thomas Hardy's Ale would be my number 1 choice. Then Avery Fourteen and Sam Adams Hallertau Imperial Pilsner.
Sam Adams Triple Bock
Fuller's is still brewing their version of Gale's Prize Old Ale, aren't they? Seems like I still see it on the shelves.
SA Hallertau Imperial pilsner. Amazing stuff.
Fuzzy Baby Ducks IPA from New England brewing. They brewed a batch a few weeks ago growler fills only. It was gone in 2 days! I mean, they will probably brew it again, but I want it right now and can't get it!
Where are you located? I've never seen it, except for the old, corked bottles and ONCE (3-4 years ago) I saw a bottle (capped, and in a different style bottle) in a shop in Michigan, but didn't really know to pick it up at the time.
Olfabrikken porter so good
