Here's a post inspired by the enjoyment of a few craft brews tonight: Craft breweries these days don't spend money on television advertising like breweries did in the 'old days.' It took me several years to track down this commercial which takes me back to Sundays at Grandpa's watching football. While commercials like this were playing I'd be fetching 'stubbies' of Blatz for my Dad and Grandpa. It's odd that when I hear this today I find the soundtrack eerily reminiscent of the opening riff to Def Leppard's 'Hysteria': This gem is the inspiration for my avatar. It's interesting that Genesee seemed to position itself as a 'craft' brewery whose beers were 'brewed in just one place' separating themselves from the likes of A-B and Miller. I find it hilarious that the actor in this commercial pronounces the word 'chowder' two different ways, first using the hard 'r' and later as the traditional New England 'chowdah': What's your favorite beer commercial?
