Just under $500 at Russian River. Then another 350 for a hardshell piece of luggage to fly it all back to NJ

At least 5 hauls from Jackie O's Over $150 .. usually I spend $110 ($220 a month) every other week on off the shelf hauls..

  4. $400 on 2 bottles of Utopias this year.

  5. I've spent well over 100 for a week. Now, if we include gas money, thats a completely different story.

Current record: I believe $105 in SF at a bottle shop while on vacation.

Hopefully I get to visit HF in March (as I am planning to do) and destroy that mark.

100$ at the New Glarus brewery. Also last week bought three Firestone XVI (23*3=69) a RR Supplication (14) Dechutes Abyss (15) and 2 Pliny (10) so a total over about $110

  9. Your wife being pregnant is the BEST time to drink. You have a DD for 9 months. No going to a bar and saying "OK, who's drinking and who is laying off and driving?" Green light to have drinks when you go out.

    '10, '11, '12 Abyss 6-pack ~$90.00. In '07, '08, '09 I was able to get a case at $12/bottle, $144.00. Totally worth it!

  11. Every couple months or so i make the trip to HF in Vermont and usually hit up alchemist and Hunger Mountain coop, plus once there happened to be a lawsons farmers market in montpelier the same weekend i went to HF.

    HF-$100-150
Lawsons-$150 (seared palate was $30 per and bourbon fayston $25 per)
    Alchemist-$120-$150

That is typically what i spend if i hit all 3 plus if i find anything at the co-op.

  12. About a month ago I went to Three Floyds and walked out with $75 in beer, and then on the way back I stopped at my usual beer store and picked up 2 sixers of FBS and a bottle each of Parabola and Sucaba. So about $135.

  13. I spent 4 days in Portland and came home with 700 bucks in beer.

just shy of $1000. every year around xmas time, i get a bonus and I treat myself to all of the expensive beers at the Binny's down the street from me. these more expensive beers I would not normally get during the rest of the year.
an example would be some of Mikkeller's rotating or one off releases that range from $15-$30 by me.

My best haul was from both Five points Bottle Shops in Athens, I dropped a total of $760. It hurt a lot to pay that down but damn if I was happy to have five bottles of Weyerbacher Thirteen in that stash.

Recently dropped $282 on a case of MoaS - $240 for the beer and $42.50 for the S/H. Dropped $250 in one day a while back on a couple of cases of BCBS. I try to keep my purchases to under $40.

About 4 years ago I purchased a guy's cellar. He was actually ill at the time, needed money and we had drunk beer together for a while so he came to me first. I'd loaned him some money and he now insisted that he would take no more loans but wanted to sell his cellar. And, if not to me then it was just going to get sold to someone else. So, I bought his cellar. (He has since recuperated; is back working full time but is NOT drinking beer - so, I don't feel too bad).

Anyway, suffice it to say that by today's prices (NOT what I paid) the value would be close to about $15,000. (I can assure you I paid no where near that amount - but, it was a very nice buy, to say the least! (Most of my drinking friends have been the beneficiaries of this purchase and there are still a few bottles left).

I have spent about $150 on a haul over a few days. I did this on my most recent trip to Boston. I just couldn't pass up getting every bottle of Jack's Abby stuff I could get my hands on. I also bought some other things I can't get/don't ever see in my area of New York.

  35. If my wife didnt enjoy drinking as much as me, I could see that being the case. But she prefers good whiskey to my good beer. It's only fair that since shes carrying the little spawn and she cant drink I could give up the drinking. It's really not all that bad. It now makes me appreciate the beer more since I rarely have one.

  36. Just hit my record of $135. Luckily.getting paid back a little

$65 in Florida last summer at Cigar City, Total Wine, Whole Foods, and a few other stores in one day. Plan on doing it again. Might bump it up to $100 this year depending on who gives me Christmas money this year :p

  38. Yesterday in Charleston I spent $225 on BA Blackbeerd bottles at Coast, $15 on bottles and growler fills at Holy City, $15 on bottles at Westbrook, and $125 on bottles at CBX, for a total of $380. Yeah, that was an expensive day.

I allow myself to splurge on beer once a year, I normally spend around $60, but during this splurging event its gone as high as $300. I wish my hobbies were cheaper...I could afford more beer!

  40. When I was at Russian River I dropped around $350.
