Pilot Beer Night @ Sebago Scarborough

Going: 0 | Watching: 0 | Invited: 0
We have instituted a pilot brewing system at the brewery to test new beers. Some of our favorite beers that are brewed on the pilot system may be released as Single Batch Series beers. These beers have been paired with some small plates - menu coming soon!

Tonight (Wednesday January 16th) we are holding our next Pilot Beer Night at our Scarborough brewpub. The following beers will be available that have been brewed on the pilot system over the last few months:

· Auger Lager (Dustin Fournier - Bartender, Portland Pub) - A dry, crisp and hoppy rice lager brewed with yeast from a classic American craft brewery. Grapefruit and pepper in the nose, with a resin-y flavor and mouthfeel from the hops. 7% ABV

· Hot and Bothered (Beth Duemmling - HR Manager) - This black, complex beer was made for winter warming. Roasted raw cocoa nibs(raw chocolate) give a deep dark chocolate character which opens up under layers of chili flavor for a rich and spicy taste. 7.6% ABV

· Little Orphan Annie (Rusty Packer - Brewer) - The beer without a home...Is she a stout, is she a brown, who is she and where can she call home? Daddy Warbucks calls her the Albino Stout, but her heart whispers "golden English chocolate". One thing is for sure, she has a "Hard Knock Life" that is chock full of malt, hops, and chocolate love. 7.4% ABV

· Too Big to Fail (Elise Loschiavo - Marketing Manager) - This hoppy monstrosity began life as a wheatwine but emerged as almost a double IPA. Regardless of style, its assertive, orangey and rich tropical fruit aroma are propped up by simple, tasty malts that has taken on new life as undercurrents to this genuine American success story that's truly Too Big to Fail. After all, why fetter success? 9.1% ABV

Each beer will be $3 for a 12oz pour. Get there early - supplies are limited! We welcome your feedback on these beers.

We are offering the following small plates paired with the pilot brews:

Auger Lager - Shrimp Egg Roll w/ a Chilled Rice Noodle Salad $4

Hot & Bothered - Chipotle-coffee rubbed Hanger Steak w/ Braised Brussels Sprouts and a Housemade Hot & Bothered BBQ Sauce $6

Little Orphan Annie - Chicken Mole w/ Roasted Zucchini Spears and Fried Tortilla Strips $4

Too Big To Fail - Carrot Cake! $3
