Books, Bites & Brews

Join us for Douglas County Libraries' Books, Bites and Brews on Saturday, November 9th. This foodie event will feature local cookbooks and local breweries from 4 PM to 9 PM at Cielo at Castle Pines.

There will be tasty bites from a variety of local cookbooks, including Tasting Colorado, Eclectic Entertaining, A Well-Seasoned Kitchen, Muy Bueno, The Denver and Boulder Chef's Table, Soul Food, Shinin Times at The Fort and Beyond the Sauce.

Beer from the following local breweries will be available for sampling:
• Grist Brewing Company (Highlands Ranch)
• Hall Brewing Company(Parker)
• Elk Mountain Brewing (Parker)
• Lone Tree Brewing Company (Lone Tree)
• Rockyard American Grill and Brewing Company(Castle Rock)

Tickets are $25 for general admission. For an extra $5, you will be able to choose from one of the sessions below:

• Amy Stewart, author of The Drunken Botanist, will explain the "The Botany of Margaritas" and share her recipe for the Perfect Margarita.

• Cicerone (certified beer expert) Sarah Johnson will take attendees through a tasting tour of Colorado beers paired with complementary cheeses in "Beer and Food Pairing 101."
