Firestone Walker Rare Beer Flight Night with a Brewer@ de Vere's Irish Pub

Going: 1 | Watching: 0 | Invited: 0
For Sacramento Beer Week we have gotten our hands on three very limited kegs from Firestone Walker from Paso Robles, CA. The three beers will be offered one at a time in a Firestone Walker glass that you will get to keep at the end of your tasting. A brewer, Jeffers Richardson, will be available to answer all your questions as you enjoy the beers. The three featured beers will be:

Helldorado - Blonde Barley Wine 12.0%
An Imperial Blonde Ale or Blonde Barley Wine; Helldorado has the lightest color of any of the beers in their barrel program but carries a great deal of interesting barrel character: vanilla, light char and amazing lavender-honey notes. Rich boozy honey liqueur character and loads of smooth sweet toasted malt to finish. The El Dorado hops dance in the background without playing a dominant role in the flavor profile. This beer gets better and better the longer it is in barrel.

Parabola - Barrel Aged Russian Imperial Stout 13.0%
Bold bourbon, tobacco and espresso aromas and a hint of American oak greet the nose. Rich, chewy roasted malts, charred oak and bourbon-like vanilla fill the palate and create a seamless finish.

Sucaba - Barrel Aged Barley Wine 13.0%
A true English Barley wine. Big boozy bourbon and American oak aromas combine with soft chocolate malt undertones. Complex malt flavors framed in oak with hints of dark chocolate, vanilla, toasted coconut and a touch of dark cherry.
