Beer Festival
Olin Park, Madison, Wisconsin
The Great Taste is, to our knowledge, the second longest-running craft beer festival in North America. Every year over one hundred fifty breweries and brewpubs serve about 1000 different beers in a beautiful lakeside setting in Madison, Wisconsin. With a view of the state capitol, great local food vendors, and acoustic music throughout the park, you’ll enjoy the opportunity to explore the finest beers the Midwest has to offer .

The Great Taste of the Midwest is one of the premier beer festivals in the United States and around the world. On the second Saturday in August the Madison Homebrewers & Tasters Guild hosts over 100 brewpubs and microbreweries from the Midwest in beautiful Olin-Turville Park overlooking Lake Monona in Madison, WI to share beer and good times with 6,000 patrons. The scene is akin to when all the old-timey ballplayers emerge from the corn to play with Kevin Costner in "Field of Dreams".

If you profess to truly love craft beer then you absolutely need to make the pilgrimage to Madison at least once in your life to what can only be described as Beer Heaven. Once a year the divine light is cast over Lake Monona and GTMW is revealed to the few, the lucky few, who have quested for and obtained the golden tickets to enter the keg-stacked gates of Olin-Turville Park on that fated day in August.

Simply the best brews are brought by brewers from the Midwest Region only. Big breweries, small breweries, breweries you've never even heard of...all of them bringing their grade-A stock, including rare/limited releases and batches brewed specifically for this festival. There's even a real ale tent with firkins of gravity-poured beer!
