A Night @ the “Brewseum” – A Craft Beer Expo

Join the friends of The Children’s Museum in Easton for A Night at the “Brewseum” – A Craft Beer Expo on Saturday, August 23 from 4:30 – 7:30 pm at The Museum on Sullivan Avenue in the heart of Easton’s historic district.

This “adult only” fundraiser will feature tastings of local and regional craft beers and ciders, gourmet food trucks, talented local musical acts, displays and exhibits to demonstrate the art and science of brewing, and a home brewing competition.

Through the generosity of our title sponsor, North Easton Savings Bank, this "adult only" fundraiser will be held both inside The Old Fire Station, and outdoors in The Wild Place – the Museum’s beautiful, outdoor learning center, which for this one evening will become our Biergarten, sponsored by Bank of Easton. All proceeds benefit the exhibits and educational programs of the Children’s Museum in Easton.

Featured craft brewers include: Battle Road Brewing Company, Berkley Beer Company, Blue Hills Brewery, Cisco Brewers, Clown Shoes Beer, Downeast Cider House, Magic Hat Brewing Company, Pretty Things Beer and Ale Project, Wachusett Brewing Company, Foolproof Brewing, Jack's Abby Brewing, Peak Organic Beer, Mayflower Brewing Company and Harpoon Brewery.

Local musical talents, sponsored by The Blackthorne Publick House, will be featured on two stages and include Dan Fernandes, Kevin Kidd & The Barnburners String Band, and Peter Joy.
A highlight of the event will be a home brewing competition offering home brewers a chance to showcase their craft and have their beers rated by a panel of judges. Prizes will be awarded in three categories: les, lagers and other. One of the featured prizes will be a donated graphic design service to create your own custom label!

Five regional businesses are Participating Partners in the event and will feature the craft beers at their business in the weeks before and after the event. Tickets will also be available for purchase in advance at these partner locations: Pops Fine Wines and Liquors, Stoneforge Grille (Easton location), Stoughton House of Brews, Maguire’s Bar and Grill, The Foundry/An American Table and Bar and The Blackthorne Publick House.

Tickets are $25 in advance, $30 at the door. Attendees must be 21 and older, no children, please! For more information on the event, to purchase tickets, or to download home brewing competition rules and entry forms, check the Museum’s website: www.childrensmuseumineaston.org or call 508-230-3789.
