This place is gorgeous. Manhattan bar in the middle of downtown st Pete. The craft cocktail program is insane. 12 taps, all local beer. Bartenders know their shit and are impressive. Food is a small menu but delicious.

International Tap House - Central West End

This location of iTap is basically just the Soulard location moved west (in a cooler space). The selection and quality of the taps and bottles is very impressive, with a rotating selection of locals and rarer beers. The service isn't bad, as the bartenders are knowledgeable. Occasionally you may have to get up and go to the bar to get a beer in a timely manner, but that is my only criticism. What I think that this place has on the Soulard location is the building it is in and the area it is in. The building has multiple levels with a ton of TV's, which is nice. There are plenty of restaurants around so that you can order in or go pickup food to eat during your visit as well.

Overall, this is a very solid bar in the St. Louis beer scene.

I was overall quite impressed with the selection at Malt Shoppe. They have a large selection of beer in the coolers (as well as outside the coolers) as well as 30 taps, either for growler fills or on-site consumption. It's definitely going into my regular rotation (along with Ray's).

Florida has a new upstart IPA contender. These guys make the best IPAs (IMO) in the state.. They've only been open for a couple months, but it wont be long before they get recognized for the world class New England style hoppy beers theyre already making. I wish I didn't live 3 hours away.

They had 10 beers on tap - 8 of theirs and 2 guest taps. 4/12/16oz pours available for all beers, and Crowlers available of most of their own beers. Keep an eye on these guys, they're for real. #HopWizards

I stopped in at Bailey's Taproom on a recent trip to Portland because it seemed like a nice watering hole near my hotel. Boy, was I pleased at this find! Relatively small and intimate inside, it's got a big selection of brews (30+ I'd guess), almost all from the NW Oregon area. Service was good and the atmosphere was great for setting down with a book from Powell's and having a couple pints. I highly recommend Bailey's if you're in town for a short time, as there is a good selection of styles and local breweries. I'll definitely try to stop here again on my next trip.

Cascade Brewing Barrel House

On a recent trip to Portland I was pleased to finally visit the Cascade barrel house, having been stymied in this effort during my previous trip. I am glad to say I was not disappointed at all; I got to try some great beers including one that is available at the taproom only (Yay! Rare Cascade!) and they were all delicious. The bar staff were knowledgeable about the beer, and the place seemed to be full of other beer geeks (this may be a plus or a minus for you). I am absolutely going return here on my next visit to Portland.

What a great store with a great selection of craft beers. I bring my growler every Saturday and you get to sample the beers before you purchase. They have a local craft beer Angry Erik which is very good. I like the Carton beers but I buy many different craft beers. The staff are very knowledgeable about their craft beers and other beers and liquors in their store. You can't go wrong with making this store your to go to place.

Bell + Whete

4/5  rDev n/a | Avg: 4
vibe: 4 | quality: 4 | service: 3.75 | selection: 4.25

I visited Bell + Whete recently for a couple of beers after work. For the most part, I like the place; the beer selection is quite good, with 60 or so beers on tap including a wide variety of local beers and a special seasonal beer menu. Prices are a little on the high side, but it's a nice place in a rapidly gentrifying area -- what are you going to expect?

Service was pretty standard bar service, and I would say the atmosphere is definitely geared toward small groups. The lights are low, so it may not be an ideal place to kill some time with a book and a beer once it's dark outside. Still, it's new and nice; I can't really fault it for its dimness; the draw here is the selection, which is quite good.

I really like this Brewer and their taproom/brewey. Love that it's a re-purposed old brewery space. Love the space generally. Love their beers. Love that you're right on top of all the brewery equipment in active use. I was their when Art on Vine was going on within the brewery and loved that too!! Don't care for the location or getting panhandled on the way in or the fact that it seems they should have more taps running given the size of this place. That said, this is one of my favorite local places. Big thumbs up.

Pretty non descript place. Service was just great in pointing out all the local breweries in MA and basically within say 150 miles.

Plenty of local beers. Some CA stuff I can't get at home such as Alesmith. A lot of local ciders, even though not my thing. A few beers looked out of date or they had been laying a while but overall things seemed fresh.

Small but nice selection. Decent prices. Good service. Winner all around for me. And right next to the Eagle Brook Saloon.

Wow! Went here on a Thursday night at 6:30 and it was packed! 40 minute wait for a party of two but they have self-serve upstairs. Waited about 15 min for a booth to open.

An excellent selection of Macros and craft beer, I had a Gandhi-bot and ordered an Otra Vez for my friend who is not an aficionado. Waitress didn't miss a step (now called G-Bot).

Stuck with wings and a salad, saving carbs & calories for beer! Be sure to order "Dirty" wings...fried>spun in sauce>fried again>spun again. Tasty!

Went to restroom and kept finding new dining rooms, place went on forever. Left around 8 and dining rooms were thinning. Great place!

A cool place for beer, wine, cheese, etc.

A good beer selection crammed into a small-ish area. Classified by suggested, seasonal, and geographic location. I focused on beer local to Massachusetts but decent selection of German and Belgian beer. Oddly, an extensive offering of EvilTwin. Has both warm shelves and coolers, four packs, six packs, and singles.

Was approached immediately by staff to assist, declined but there are two or three easily accessible employees to reach out to.

After making an initial selection, I asked for more recommendations for local beer and was not steered wrong.

Was worried about the long lines and if I would be able to score some cans, not only was their operation very efficient but they lowered the can pp amount so everyone would be able to score some cans of each of their releases. Great people, good music and world class beers.

Small Batch Beer Co.

Small Batch is our go-to happy hour spot in Winston. While we've been going since it opened, the vibe has gotten much better as of late and the number of beers on tap has increased commensurately as well. The servers and beer selection (including bottles for sale and a great bourbon selection imho) have always been great. Definitely try to stop in on pint night (Thursdays) as they release a new pint glass each month, which is designed by a local advertising firm that has connections to the Small Batch founders.

Overall Small Batch has produced a wide range of beers both in style and quality, but for a small brewery in a very crowded beer scene in North Carolina they stand out in my perspective. Worth a visit if you're in the Triad.

One of the main reasons I finally joined BA was to review this place. So in love with High Spirits. Not sure how they pull it off but they always have the hard to find beers first and continually have the lowest prices around. Really enjoy talking beer with the staff and have run into some of them out and about at beer bars and they always remember me and my wife and are so nice. Ultimately it's the selection that keeps me coming back in (probably more than my wallet would like me to) and why I always recommend them first when people need a new go to packy.

Notes are from 12/28/15, second time I've stopped there off of I-80 between OH and NY

Settled into a parking lot just off the thruway on a main strip in Strongsville, it's got a new brick/old school feel to it as part of a small strip next to an affiliated wine shop. It's bigger on the inside, or so it seems, as it takes up continuing space you can't really see from outside. It's cluttered by in a homey sort of way. In front is the merchandising, host's desk, counter with the register and some beer coolers behind it, to the left and middle the booths and tables. A large industrial steel door, open when the brewpub is, separates a large bar area with more tables and a lot more clutter. A large chalkboard displaying Brew Kettle beers on tap and in bottles as well as the dozens of guest taps and bottles is on a wall in each section.
The service has been good both times I've been, and the staff is both friendly and generally quick. It can be very busy in there, and they still come back pretty regularly.
The beer was excellent, and there was a great selection to choose from of great quality both from Brew Kettle and otherwise. The sample paddle was great, with an informative numbered list that made selection fast and simple, and you can then correlate the number on the paddle with the numbers on the list in front of you.
The food exceeded expectations by a wide margin. I was prepared for good food, but this went beyond that. It is some of the most impressive food, smoked or otherwise, that I've had at a brewpub.

I've been there twice now as I've hauled my son to and from Iowa State. Really nice selection, always some surprises and the staff if very helpful. And if you don't see it in the coolers, make sure you poke around the beer cave. Last time I was there, only 1 4-pack of Pseudo Sue in the cooler. But a big stack in the beer cave. It is now one of my must visit places when I am traveling thru Iowa on business.

I travel to the Twin Cities every couple of months and this is one of my must-visit places. Always a good selection of local and not-so-local craft beers. I've never been able to go in and not buy something. And I really like the way they display the bombers on wine racks. Different and very attractive. Check 'em out!

Selection is okay but not exceptional. I would echo the comments about old beer--you need to be really careful here, even with seasonals, as the beer may not be from the current year's season. Service has never been very helpful or knowledgeable in my experience, although at least one person was pretty friendly.

Always keep a rotation of IPA's on tap. They make a great rye stout and one of the more laid back (even though they are often busy) breweries in Richmond. It is my favorite to go to in the city.

A hidden gem of SW Wisconsin. Visited a couple times and always enjoyed the stay. The brewery and history museum are nice to visit. The food has always been well made, along with the beer and the staff has always been super friendly. Their bar is a visual marvel; extremely well made and just beautiful to look at. Definitely worth a visit if you find yourself near there.

The space is kinda small but it's very well explored by its owners with probably one of the best walls + fridges I've seen in my entire life. Selection was great and some of the rarest things I've ever had had just vanished a few days ago, which means their selection is awesome. Usually places like this have beers from Belgium, Germany and US but Cerveteca also has a good looking selection of scandinavian beers, going from Mikkeller to To Øl.
