Just visited for the first time and Chicago is a winner. Had the All Nighter Golden Ale, Weizenheimer, and Hardway IPA. All Nighter and Hardway are excellent. Wheat is good but a bit watery. Had a deep dish supreme pizza which was really good. Reuben was also recommended by a bar mate. Bar a little too dark. Had my favorite slot "Buffalo" on machines at the bar. Will be back.

Love Big Dog's Draft House in NW Las Vegas. Wisconsin meets Vegas! All the beers are very good. My fav is the barrel aged Red Hydrant. Nice selection of house and guest taps. Many excellent food items: Big 10 pizza (scores a 10, my all time favorite pizza), Camp Randall brat, Pot Roast Melt, Walleye dinner. Great atmosphere. Packers fan hangout. When in Vegas I'm sure to stop at least once. Can't recommend highly enough!

Not a bad micro but, the selection is a tad stale with a shallow array of low abv options. They have recently added some rotating taps so, this introduces some options with regards to getting a little something different on draught. Food was average but the burger selection (BYO) was nice. It'll do for a local gastro/micro.

A solid option for quality craft beer while in the Evansville area. The owner is a beer guy so, you can count on a decent selection and a super friendly staff. Check this place out if you're a local or travelling through....you will not be disappointed.

Located in the center of town. The downtown does not to be bustling during this weekday. I ended up being the only person drinking in the taproom during my visit but one person did come in for a growler fill. The building use to be a bank, and several other businesses through the years and it shows its character. The place smells old. Hard to rate the service when I was the only customer. The owner/brewer stopped in amongst his many errands and chatted with me. Tried every beer they had on tap and they were all solid. The IPA was more than a bit bland, and a few of the others seem to be a little under attenuated. They also seem to use the same yeast for every beer except the wheat beer. Really liked the wheat beer which seemed to be a hybrid of witbier and hefeweizen. Nice they fill any breweries growlers and the flagships are priced at $9 per fill.

Olde Hickory had an old fashioned pub feel to it, with a good selection of the brewery's beers. The service was pretty bad. The staff was unfriendly and ignorant, and the quality of the beers leave little to be desired. Hence I also did not hang around to eat here.

There are many many great breweries and brewpubs in NC. This one is not worth visiting.

As most NJ liquor stores this a predominantly wine and liquor store. the whole back wall is a fridge with six packs and some bombers, plus some shelf space in back corner of store. They carry basic beers along with some limited edition stuff from Boulevard, Dogfish among others. Had a nice talk with real friendly clerk behind the counter. Overall nice place to pick up some brews.

Awesome awesome, got a $12 package for free, gifted for my 21st birthday. Vibe is energetic yet professional. Honestly has gotten me the most hopped of the 3 breweries I've had the pleasure of visiting today.

This corner grocery store is a hidden gem for beer lovers. Many hard to find seasonal beers and imports. Nice selection of Belgians and stouts. The staff is pretty cool & many of them are quite knowledgeable when it comes to good beer. Check it out for sure.

Have gone here off and on for the past ten years or so. A true gem in an area that needs it. Located near the original Chickie's and Pete's, it's a relaxed atmosphere with great beer, tasty food, and a solid staff. Scoats knows his stuff, and I am a big fan of the cajun wings!

Checked in on my girl's birthday, got a free glass for the occasion! Got two classic beer packages, 10 bucks a piece, comes with four 8 oz pours of the normal selection. Endeavour costs 2 tokens. Beer on tap is noticeably more fresh and amazing then what I'm used to purchasing bottles. Most professional environment perhaps out of every brewery I've seen, which this makes two now lol. Food is on point, fresh as the dranks which is saying something. Fries and chicken sandwich on point dawg so real. I have enjoyed Art Car, Elissa, Weedwacker, Summer Pils, 5 o'clock Pils, Coffee Porter and more here, more to come soon. Nothing is really bad whatsoever. Chill music.

Interesting place. more like a local neighborhood bar...which is cool in itself.
Very dark, food was ok. nothing to write home about. Glasses seemed an ounce or 2 short of the promised amount. They had Hill Farmstead on tap....which makes any negatives go away fast.

Haven't been to visit, but something that cannot be stressed enough - especially for people who are not familiar with LCCB stouts:

They need to be aged.

The improvement in the quality of the beer between fresh and aged one year is greater at LCCB than any other brewery I have had - and I've had a lot of stouts. The closest comparison I can think of is Firestone Walker, whose stouts are too hot fresh, but settle down nicely when aged.

I find most LCCB stouts too bitter/ hoppy/ chalky/ charcoal/ bitter dark chocolate tasting fresh. Especially all their stouts built off the Virginia Black Bear base. But here is the thing - those hops fade with time. That bitter hoppy flavor goes away. And what you are left with is a remarkable stout.

LCCB is flooding Northern Virginia with a ton of big barrel-aged stouts. My recommendation to people who have never had LCCB before or drank their stouts fresh and didn't like them: plan to age your bottle. It vastly improves the beer. The rule for myself with LCCB bottles is at least eight months.

small tasting room that is rather sterile with a few tables when you walk in up against the window. the bar is small as well with typically 6ish offerings all made in house! Steve(brewer) and his wife are typically behind the bar serving up their new zealand inspired offerings. I like how they always have some type of ipa or pale ale on tap if not multiple! Food trucks on weekends keep me interested but during the week the pies from pub chip shop just doesn't cut it for me! i cant wait till they expand their operation because Steve is probably the best brewer in the city and give him more resources and will only make the best of the best!

Small artsy venue just off the square in downtown Lawrenceville. They have a really nice selection of local beers as well as many from points beyond. The food is absolutely not an afterthought either. They are cooking up some incredible and creative eats. Best scallops I have had anywhere for example, but everything I have tried is really good.

This is an awesome little shop whose quality more than makes up for its size. The staff is helpful and passionate about what they're selling, which makes it easy to justify the downtown-Boston markup. The beer section isn't huge, but thoughtfully curated and quite diverse; there's a focus on local craft beer but a bunch of imports and ciders as well. In the gourmet food department, Bacco's has a killer cheese selection right up there with Formaggio's and some of the better shops in the city. Bonus points for an active Instagram/Twitter presence, which I've found very helpful in keeping on top of new releases.

This is another brewery / tasting room that has that big warehouse feel to it. Long bar on the right side with some other long family-style tables just off the bar. A few TVs and some rock music give this place a different feel from other places. Big rack of T-shirts in the back next to a water station. There were 12 beers on draft covering several styles. The beers I had ranged from decent to good. Service was very friendly and discussions focused on beer styles and beer related travel. This is a bit hidden off the main beer trail in downtown, but it is easy to find and don't forget to take a beer break at Vortex Donuts next door for a coffee and great donuts.

Tops Liquors

THIS REVIEW IS FOR THE BAR ONLY. This is the best beer bar in the world! You can drink it, buy it, and ship it here! I have been going here 18 months now. If Norm lived in Tempe he would go here. I have been a bartender since 1993 in London, England. I have lived all over the world and the US. I have bartended in so many places I cannot keep track of all of them. Never has one bar met all my needs. The bartenders, Jess and Matt are both so knowledgeable that many times I let them select my flights for me. I have NEVER done this anywhere. I am super picky.

The selection is amazing because the selectors are the liquor store owners/employees not a manager or some corporate bafoon. When you go into a liquor store and ask for a bottle of wine, beer, or liquor in a top notch store the sales associate almost always nails it. The Tops staff does that without a hitch and they extend that selection to Taste of Tops. SIMPLY AWESOME. The prices are most affordable!!! This needs repeating...prices are most affordable!!! I paid $3.00 for a Stella Artois and $8.00 a flight. Food is not sold, but you can bring take out. This is a high density delivery area with a Thai Basil, Oregano's, Vegan, and Chillis within a stone's throw. Stouts, chocolate stouts, porters, vanilla porters, wild ales, india pale ales, pale ales, american pales ales, brown ales, bitters, lagers, pilsners, fruit beers, wheat beers, Belgians, barley wines, meads, etc. They serve wine too. If they serve liquor I have never noticed.

I work in a very fancy bar next to a lot of hotels and I recommend Taste of Tops daily to my guests who frown at my vanilla beer selection. They drink at my bar because their room is a 2 minute walk away so I have never lost a customer, but they take clients to Taste of Tops to impress them. Many have tipped a ridiculous amount of money because their clients were so impressed by Taste of Tops! I must have sent at least 100 people there now including friends and school mates.

I love all the local artists on the walls and the quiet environment. One time a glass blower had desert terrariums in glass floats hanging from the ceiling over the bar. This is my speakeasy to unwind and relax. One night I heard they had a DJ and my friend went elsewhere. So loud you could not hear yourself think she said. DJ's do not mix (pun intended).

The music is eclectic because every bartender has their own music selection be it an internet radio station sometimes. I am always intrigued. The TVs play all the old cult classics and memorable movies. Saw Aliens and Heavy Metal.

The decor is wood. All wood. There are seats and tables of all kinds. Something for everyone. Board games are in the front.

Lastly, when you are done drinking and adding your distinct beers on Untapped you can walk through the internal doorway to Tops Liquors. There you can buy the same beer you drank if available in bottles or cans. Wine and liquor too. Then you can ship it to your friends!

I LOVE THIS PLACE! It is one of three bars I can say I have been a regular.

Nice place to stop for a beer. Seems to be pretty popular with the locals and conveniently located for out of towners too. Beer selection was pretty good, but two of the beers I was hoping to try were not available. Food truck was pretty cool - wild game themed. Also has a dog friendly beer garden.

Being a couple miles from our house - this is our go-to place to eat out. It also helps that they have nearly 70 beers on tap, a nice selection of wine, and a few ciders/meads as well. The atmosphere is authentic an German Brewhaus/Hall with high ceilings and large tables imported from Germany - as well as an outdoor Beer Garden with fire pits and more seating. During the summer the windows get opened to enjoy the weather as well as downtown Washington.

The food is fantastic - everything we have gotten - as well as our friends - has been excellent and more importantly, consistent. The smoked scent carries for a mile and envelops you upon walking in the doors - and that clearly continues in the smoked foods. You'll never leave hungry - or thirsty.
