What would life be like as a beer lover, if one didn't say anything about the only brewery in the city of Juneau. Of course, I would go here and the Depot for Friday firkins. Of course, I've always had friendly service. Of course, their rough drafts are mostly their best beers. And if I still lived in Juneau, I'd go back here to see what these guys are up to.

When I used to live in Juneau, I played hockey down the street at the only ice arena in the Juneau area. Often times after games, this was a usual place to stop. Always clean, friendly service, exceptional food and the taps stick mainly to Alaska and PNW stuff, of course there is some BMC, but one can always count on a good time here.

Since I grew up just a half an hour from the brewery, I've visited this quaint little facility and have always had great food, great service and an overall enjoyable experience. As far as I know they only keep their beers on tap. And its always well kept as far as cleanliness. When in Downingtown, check it out.

Above average brews with an exceptional staff and fantastic food. I rounded out the taps tasting 5 oz. pours. everything was quite drinkable and some very good. When a free tasting was met w/ "that was my next selection" I was told, "this ones on me then." as he returned w a full pour! All but the scotch ale paired well w/ the artisan cheese and meat plate with fantastic house made sauces of mustard, walnut butter and a fruit compote. The Scotch Ale still was fine w/o a pairing. The French Onion soup was superb. The chef came out to accept compliments and later returned w/ a cup of his fresh made truffled clam chowder for me to try. Really impressed with the Smoked Red Ale, Sgl Hops Centennial Pale, Riverbed IPA and Pink Elephant fruity wit.

service is fine if you're not uptight, casual 'come to the bar and order or maybe flag one of us down' pay at the bar, haven't worked out the kinks of casual/busy at the same time, food is very good and uses local meat, cheese, veggies as much as possible, pretty kid friendly without not being adult friendly, big enough space to hang around in and game-playing/taking your time encouraged. they have some games, we were surrounded by people having a good time on a sunday afternoon, groups of 2somethings, a couple families with kids playing games at their tables, we got the korean wings, not fully authentic but very good, burger with bacon is great, kale/cous cous salad is good, salami fruit and shaved parmesan is maybe a bit sparing but of good quality, baked beans are real, a little short on kick, I have in-laws in the area and will visit this place more often than i will visit them

-Touched-up industrial brewpub vibe. Cinder block walls, high ceilings, metal chairs and wood-topped tables, but some cool decor to spruce it up as well. Well lit with a lot of natural light. You can see into their kitchen and brewing area; the transparency is much appreciated.
-Only liquor available is beer, and only house beers at that, but their array of varieties will suit everyone's tastes. I had their Scottish and brown ales, which were good and outstanding, respectively, and my companion had a flight, which were all very good+. It's obvious there is quality and thought going into these artworks. Growlers are available.
-Food is also solid. I'm speaking past my experience as we only had the fries with aioli and beer cheese sauces, but they were great, and I feel safe saying that based on the menu they serve creative dishes prepared by chefs, not typical bar food. The chicken and biscuits the guy next to us had looked and smelled appetizing, and some other mug-club members (regulars) said the food was great, too. I wish I'd had stomach room for more food, but I'll be returning to confirm my assumptions.
-Service was pretty good. The bartender (also co-owner) was quick at the taps, and the food came out super quick.

It was refreshing to find a business that has a vision past just a brewing room with a bar slapped on. This is a brewpub with a fun setting, tasty, nay, craveable food, and of course good beer. A local gem.

this place rules. maybe the best kept beer secret in denver right now. so they have their main three beers they make, but people forget these guys are also a distributor, and they have an awesome range of taps from some of their breweries. high hops, gravity, back country, grimm brothers, aspen, even pipeworks out of chicago was pouring there. until recently their beers have been being made at prost from what i understand. nothing crazy yet, stuff they used to make back in the day for the most part. the space is awesome, in the student union building on the denver metro campus, cant believe people dont know about this yet. its going to blow up i think. i didnt eat, but the food looked good, and the tap list was super impressive. they have a cool mix of old and new brewing equipment too, and the vibe is neo industrial, hip but functional, very cool, i loved it. service was also excellent, knowledgeable and engaging. i had a blast here and cant wait to go back. the tivoli beers themselves are pretty straight up, well done but simple, but they have an enormous selection of brands they distribute all in a really original place. great times.

Went on a trip to Philly with some friends and we had to stop in here to check it out and see what it was all about. It was very busy and took a little while to get to the bar and order some drafts, but once we got our beers and found a table I really warmed up to the place. The music was excellent, The Smiths and New Order and R.E.M. seemed to be on constant rotation, there was a pool table which my friends had fun with, excellent beer of course (as you'll see in my reviews I think the Jefferson Tavern Ale is absolutely fantastic), and friendly people all around. We ended up having a nice conversation with complete strangers at the table next to us. That's really what a pub should be all about, bringing people together to enjoy great beer and great company. I'll be sure to come back here the next time I make it up to Philly. (Note: I don't know if they had food or not. I didn't really pay attention as I was mostly excited about the beer.)

Vibe is decent, the place being in a beach town it has a pretty laid back feel to it, while avoiding a convenience shop atmosphere, quality is good. The store is kept clean and well lit with nice displays. Service is good, the staff is friendly but not overbearing. Selection is excellent. Lots of locals as well as some things that are very hard to find in most beer shops, especially in long island.

vibe and quality i would say are slightly above that of your typical beer shop, the service however is excellent. Staff is friendly and knowledgable.
Selection is not high but very well curated. There are more great beers on the shelf then not, a rare quality in beer shops.

You walk in and see 2 flat screen TVs above the bar... the show: 24 draft beers on the electronic menu scrolling by. And when the beers have scrolled by, the Bourbon list starts scrolling. If you missed something, the bartender will gladly hand you a paper menu to refer to. They seem to have a preference for Belgians and Farmhouse ales. But you will also find some IPAs, Hefes, Helles, American ales, sours and more. They often have a couple stouts... with rather high ABV, such as Founders Breakfast. You have an option of "pours" such as 4 oz, 10 oz and 16 oz. They will bring you pizza which you can order from their restaurant next door.

And if that is not enough, you can take a few steps thru the swinging glass doors to the contiguous bottle shop where they think they have a couple thousand bottles.

They finally got a brewpub license. They needed tables and food to get that and they do not disappoint. The menu is limited but what they offer (pannini and sandwiches, soup, etc.) is good. Two friends, Chris and Mark, began home-brewing in one of the guy's garage. Since Northeast PA is a former Anthracite coal mining region, the motif for their brewery is... coal. One of their first brews, Lunch Pail Ale (yeah, a pale ale) garnered some popularity in local pubs and things took off to the point where they needed some serious space. So... they buy a former parochial school and turn it into a brewery, thence a brew pub. They seem to be enamored of IPAs and so there are several in their Detonator Series. Many of their beers are experimental -- click around their web site and you will see some of the current ones. Two summers ago I sampled a Watermelon ale there and really enjoyed it (and I'm not a fan of fruity beers). Finally, I should say I am neither a relative nor employee.

Great spot in central Maine. Nice selection of taps and a solid "pub food"-type menu. Black Bear brews are the house beers here and some appear aliased in a way that is slightly confusing but not really a big deal.

Don't freak out, but they do not filter many of their beers. But, they make some quality stuff. Their Milk Stout is one of the best that I have had. They had a Wee Heavy recently that was out of this world.

This is the brick and mortar location for the food truck with the same name. In the old spot for Little Bigs. There is an expansive outdoor patio, with garage doors that open up. TV's seem to be at every outdoor table. There is a tiny bar inside, but basically all outdoor seating. Very much an Icehouse like feel.

Counter service, order at the register, take a number, and find a seat. Food comes out quickly, and the waitresses are sweethearts. Though they know little of the tap selection. 24 taps, with mostly a Silver Eagle account. Most of the Saint Arnold, Karbach, and 8th Wonder year rounds. Also 512, some Real Ale, Abita, and a few Macros. All beers are served in a plastic cup, which I am not particularly pleased with.

Food is pretty good burgers and shakes. There is a large menu of all things burgers as you would expect from the name. All 44 Farms beef. While the burgers are good, I think they over cook patties.

A pretty good burger and beer bar in Montrose. Nothing is exceptional, but all enjoyable. Worth a shot, and I'll be making more visits.

This has been one of my favorite bars in the Heights since it has taken over for the Boom Boom Wine Room. It is part of the Treadsack group, which in part is D&T Drive Inn and Down House. Johnny's is more of a cocktail bar, and almost has a 70's throwback lounge feel. The vibe is incredibly low key, with no TV's. Just a spacious bar, big booths around the edges, and a perfect tiny patio outside.

All counter/bar service, and the bartenders are great. I have never been here when it is to over crowded, so the bartenders are always on top of things. Most having worked at places like Down House, Julep, or other destination bars so they know how to take care of everything. No food, but the Pi-Pizza Truck is usually always parked outside and dishing out good pizzas.

There is a small, well chosen cocktail menu on the wall. All priced at $8, the pints prices are around $5. They do one of my favorite happy hours, with $2 off cocktails and $1 off all draughts. Tap list is small, but well chosen. It rotates between all Houston and Austin area breweries. Saint Arnold Endevour and Lone Pint Yellow Rose are almost always on. As is Live Oak Hefe, 512 Pecan Porter, and Brash will rotate in every now and then. Real Ale Hans Pils, and Town In City as well. The bottle list runs from Lone Star to Pumpkinator. Along with always getting Saint Arnold Bishop's Barrel releases. For what is suppose to be a cocktail bar, they do a really good job of focusing on quality Texas taps.

Just a great spot on Yale, and only a few block from my house. Between Down House, D&T, and Johnny's, Treadsack seems to be taking over the Heights, and is taking all of my money.
