Look, they carry lots of local brews, which is great. also, great not so local ones. But the best part is getting some of that BBQ to go with it. Many of us have driven down from the burbs on lunch hour just to pick up some Slows and boogie back to work. Many have gone out of their way just for Slows BBQ. (306 characters)

If you've lived in/around Detroit long enough, you had to have gone to the Cadieux Café at some point. For pete's sake, we used to go here even as kids for the feather bowling and fries when it was someone's birthday. (218 characters)

Been surprised by the growing beer selection at this Trader Joes. Stopped at the one in Royal Oak/Berkley and wasn't impressed. A couple months later I'm at this one in Northville and they actually had a decent selection going. The shame is the bottles are old and collecting dust and sitting right out front near the windows. So, just be careful of dating and skunkage. Skip anything by Boatswain (Minhas Brewing). But the Trader Joe's brews, especially the Belgians, are made by Unibroue and are exceptional. (510 characters)

You come here for the food not the beer. The vibe is awesome, small dimly lit place littered with shelves filled top to bottom with wine and champagne. The food is an 11/10 quite pricey but you can't beat the ostrich. They menu is for foodies, not for those looking for a chilis type menu. However the beer selection was quite slim last I visited, a few months back, it was a small shelf with less than 20 beers for which the store worker was pretty apologetic for but he did say the usually have more. Will definitely go back for the food, if they have more beer it'd just be a plus (583 characters)

Liquor Vault

I've passed by this place near every day for the last couple years and never bothered to stop in. Located in a strip mall, with a large, glowing "Liquor" sign that changes color every few seconds when the sun goes down. Noticed they had a craft beer here sign in the window and decided to take a look the other day when I needed ice for a party.
Glad I did. Besides shelves and shelves of liquor and wine, the cooler sections are full of local brews, and not just the year-round stuff you'd find at any liquor store. Just about everything was available as singles, too. Bombers are available for Belgians, Rogues, Stone, Lagunitas, etc. Prices were competitive. (662 characters)

It has the typical ABC vibe and it is further away from the college town area. The beer selection is however probably unrivaled in the Tallahassee are. Not your typical ABC with around 4 beer isles, 20 cooler, and separate stands the selection is awesome. Every once in a while you'll catch some good ones on sale too. They even fill growlers and have some things on tap you'd be surprised to see as well as the local brews like proof. Price is decent as well, compared to the proof bottle shop, which is pretty pricey. (520 characters)

My friends love going to this place. I remember the Mexican restaurant that used to be here fondly. Doc's, not so much. Standard bar fare, nothing you can't get anywhere. Been here a few times to meet with folks, some gathering and parties. Not a place I'd actively seek out. Pretty average, at least they have some decent local brews. (335 characters)

Radicle Effect Brewerks

It's billed as a nanobrewery (it also used to be called Against the Grain, but that issue was settled amicably with the Louisville brewery). They have 1-2 of their own beers on tap, along with about a dozen quality craft lines and a few dozen bottles.

Small, quiet, and homey. It holds maybe 30 people, tops, the lighting is low and blue, and the while there's TV's, they don't play them too loudly. The house-made beer is solid, but I've had it twice and I honestly don't remember anything about it.

I have stopped in twice, and each time they had some reasonably rare stuff on tap along with excellent brewery flagships (2 Hearted) and seasonals (Celebration). They're not a gigantic draft account, and their western Illinois placement makes it so they don't get anything super rare. The best kegs get snatched up by RIBCO, but in order to drink them you have to put up with the loud grown-up-fratboy vibe of RIBCO. This is the nicer place to drink. (961 characters)

Ordered the sampler. Beers were good, especially the pale ale. Vibe was cool. A lot of friendly vacationers taking a break from the sun to enjoy some pretty decent brews. Long tables inside with plenty of seating and board/card games to play. Came in handy as we drug a couple of the kids with us. Only in Wisconsin. (316 characters)

Was excited to come upon this place after a long morning ride from Green Bay. Beautiful day to sit outside and enjoy a gorgeous view of the bay. Ordered the sampler and an appetizer. The beers were jus okay, but it was beer—and I was happy. The crab dip was excellent and the service was good. (295 characters)

A nice little bottle shop with a decent selection of beer for the area. Usually friendly depending on who you catch working. Overall a pretty good joint in a place that is certainly NOT a beer mecca like Pocatello. (214 characters)

So I am a fan of a few beers of theirs given my generous reviews of their product. I know its Utah so the vibe here is hampered but I was expecting a little more friendly attitudes. Maybe I caught them on rough day I dont know. Okay cold case, better beer. (256 characters)

Hunting lodge vibe, well worn in. Smoking in the back bar unfortunately, where all the craft taps are. Logboat Pale, Schlafly Kölsch, Boulevard Pale, Moose Drool, and maybe one other craft. Kraftig in bottles. Didn't stick around to eat, wasn't a bad place but Pappo's was calling my name down the road. Probably not worth your time unless you have a few days to kill in the area. (381 characters)

1.69/5  rDev n/a | rAvg: 3.07
vibe: 1 | quality: 1 | service: 3.5 | selection: 1

The other review is severely outdated sadly. Big nope on this one.
The best beers here are Goose IPA and Boulevard Wheat, everything else is macro.
Frozen pints and no coasters = a wet mess of a bar.

Nice view of the lake, and an ok bartender, but besides that it was utterly forgettable.
Cher dance mixes pumped in over a loudspeaker kind of summed up the generic resort bar vibe.
Everything about this place felt generic and impersonal.

Won't be returning. Horseshoe Bend is the local microbrewery right down the street if you're in the area. Pappo's in Osage Beach runs circles around this place beer-wise. Taphouse is another option on the other side of the lake. (669 characters)

I first had ZwanzigZ at the GTMW two years ago. If you go to the Great Taste don't miss them. Their beers and food are very solid. I honestly haven't had a beer from them that was bad. Some are better than others of course but very quality beers overall. They also have a nice selection of normal stuff, adjuncts, and barrel aged beers. The pizza is very good too. I have driven from Indianapolis to Columbus solely to go to ZwanzigZ, so yes if you are anywhere near Columbus, IN, check it out. Lastly, the prices are very reasonable. (543 characters)

As you can tell from the many positive reviews, Bellwoods seems to be a popular place to get some excellent beers. Having been able to see for myself, I agree: it is located in a quiet semi-residential neighborhood, a bit west of the downtown core. (I took the No. 63 Bus from the Ossington Street subway station - it passes right by.) The focal point is the busy patio that is set out from the open garage doors; there is a small bar to the left with a smattering of cramped tables taking up what space there is for the rather hipster crowd. Next door is the retail store. On draft were a wide array of their delicious brews; during my visit: I enjoyed: Wizard Wolf, a crisp sessional IPA, Paper Tiger, a dry-hopped lager, a nice and balanced stout, Witchshark, a massive Imperial IPA and wonderful barrel-aged session called "Farmageddon." Worth the trip, alone.

Great service and a unique food menu - I opted for their Chorizo verde, a spicy sausage entrée - makes for a must visit when in Toronto. I understand that they are expanding. No surprise here. I wish them well. (1,077 characters)

Came here for dinner and I was not let down at all. First off the facility is massive and beautiful. Sitting at the bar I saw 30, count them 30 taps! There were so many tasty Avery choices it just made it overwhelming to decide what I wanted. Everything from the light wits to the super high ABV stuff Avery is know for was accounted for. I had a cheeseburger and gouda mash and it was damn tasty. The place was full of people and bustling too. I highly recommend a trip out here. It's so worth it. (498 characters)

Michigan only, Michigan forever, and they make sure it is worth the drive. Around 20 some beers on tap, as well as a couple of ciders from their sister cidery. Good prices, new construction means a lot more space will open up soon! If you find yourself in Northern Michigan, you'd better make your way to Short's. (313 characters)

The Hop Lot features a HUGE outdoor seating area/beer garden that is surrounded by hops, once the plants get established this will be one heck of a summer hangout! Beer selection is somewhat small, but it covers all the bases, when I was there they had two DIPA's a stout, two wheats (one cherry) an amber, a brown, and a pale ale. Food selections are limited as well, but what they have they do very well. Fantastic barbecue, solid beers, and the place has a good atmosphere. The people that work there love what they do, and it shows. (536 characters)
