Service is crap. The owners don't know what they are getting only that it's highly talked about and trendy within the craft scene. Other than that the selection is pretty good for an off the beat liquor store. (209 characters)

Call to Arms Brewing Company

V-Call to Arms is medium to small space located in the Berkeley Highlands area of Denver, about 4 miles from Downtown. The place has a nice neighborhood feel in what is rapidly changing (read: gentrifying) area. It has some dark leather bench seating and a wooden bar that seats roughly 15 people that suggests a pub or Cheers, but with the overhead garage doors that open to the parking lot that suggest small Denver brewery. The place was close to full but not overcrowded when I visited on a Wednesday evening. Mostly locals. No kids.

Q-I really liked the Vienna Lager that I tried but was less impressed with the dunkelweiss. I'll have to go back for more analysis.

Ser-The bar tenders were prompt, friendly, and knowledgeable. Beers were poured in appropriate glassware with the right amount of head. Solid.

Sel-There were 10-ish beers on offer when I visited. Call to Arms has an interesting selection of old-world styles, German and Belgian, as well as a few American styles. There are a few lagers on the menu to go with the ales. If you are looking for ten different IPAs, you might want to look elsewhere.

O-I liked this place and will definitely return to try more beers. Props to them for mixing the old world with new in a way that keeps the character of both styles. (1,285 characters)

Just visited this place once, so will have to adjust this review over next couple if visits.

Initial thoughts:
Parking cannot a bit of a pain. If you are newly heading there... Yes, keep on going.
Even though in a warehouse (umm - brewery in a warehouse district ;)??!?), the place inside is decently nice. They seem to have a decent capacity for brewing in a somewhat small location, and also seem to have a focus on the "pub" dude of brewpub, with farm-to-table small plates with a couple of full meals.

They offered 11 beers and a cider (not sure if they made it), ranging from lighter Kölsch and lagers to a stout. The lighter beers weren't impressive to me (too sweet), but the hoppy side - pale ales - were all pretty solid. The darker brews were enjoyable - as was the Berlinerweiss, the one lighter standout.

Went Ina Wednesday, and I can't know how crowded it can get, but the edit staff was pretty damn good. With the same service on repeated visits, I'd go up a notch at least. Glad to have tried it and interested in future trips here. (1,057 characters)

You have to like a place that offers four free beer tastings when you enter into their building. After sampling four of their eight beers on taps (and deciding I would have their Lager for dinner) we moved up to the restaurant on the 2nd floor for dinner. The service was good, as was the food and the beer. The only thing I marked them down on was the vibe since there wasn't much going on - two different MLB games were on their their TV screens and that was about it. I would recommend it if you are stopping over in Estes Park for the night. (549 characters)

Pour House Pints & Pies

I've been to this place exactly twice. In fairness, I think my review should be treated as two separate reviews. Unfortunately, this place isn't consistent and the second visit was so bad I won't be back!!

The first time my wife and I really liked this place. It has a fairly good selection of midwestern and local brews. The environment is fairly nice outside, but a real dive inside. On the first visit it was about 105 degrees outside so we ate inside. Our server was very friendly and explained the menu very well. They have a nice system where you can get a
personal size pizza that is half and half to explore the options. This was really great and both
my wife and I took advantage of that and had excellent pizzas. The vibe was quite odd. I
enjoyed the pizza, beer selection, and service of the first server enough that I was willing to
overlook the extremely poor environment (I would rate that at about 2).

Having enjoyed the first visit, a few days later we were anxious to go again. The hostess asked if we wanted to sit inside or outside (it was about 95 degrees out). I said outside if its in the shade (there was a table for four in the shade, we were two). The hostess tried to sit us in the sun, so I said we want to sit inside. The server we got was amazingly unfriendly. My wife ordered a salad in addition to the pizza. The guy asked if she wanted it before the pizza, and she said yes. The salad never came, not even when the pizza arrived. The pizza had very little topping on it, about 25% of the previous visit. The server didn't apologize for not delivering the salad, and brought it out in a to-go box when he brought the bill... wow! Bad pizza, bad service, bad environment, and flat beer. No return. (1,752 characters)

I recently moved from CA to TX. My wife and I have been exploring the areas in and around Austin before buying a house. We were exploring old town Georgetown one day and my wife suggested we stop at this place because they served craft beers. Wow, what a great place!! It is a family run business, and some of the folks used to live in the same area we did. Everyone was so friendly. They had a wonderful mix of good west coast beers and local beers. I was thrilled to see Firestone Walker, Green Flash, Deschutes, Sculpin, along with lots of other high end brews. I ended up sampling local brews to get to know them better, but its so nice to know I can get some of my longtime favorites too! The pizza was top notch. The only down side was the actual size of the place, and it looks like they will soon be expanding into the area next door in the building. If you are in Georgetown (which is a cute small town), this place is a must visit if you like pizza and craft beer!! (986 characters)

SPTR is a great neighborhood bar, cozy but not crowded. Very well rounded selection of beer all of which are top choices. Only negative is a relatively small food selection, however the choices are all excellent. (214 characters)

The Work shop was an interesting little place. Apparently it is the sight of the original Right Brain Brewery. The inside is rather sparse with a kind of Russian cold war theme going on. Different, but I kind of dug it. I tried two of their beers and thought they were both good. The Ball Peen (ESB) was really tasty, and Wrecking Ball (Porter) was also quite good. We did not eat any food there. We were there on a weekday afternoon so there was just a bartender on staff and a few people sitting at the bar, but it was pretty slow. This place is in a warehouse district and a little hard to find, but I enjoyed it. (624 characters)

Visited 2014. Was OK...In a strip mall kind of thing downtown. We had fun. Visited on a Thursday at 4 PM, there as not much going on. as we were the only patrons there. They had two floors so I'm curious what this place is like at 10 PM on a Saturday, but again, its in a strip mall a mile from the beach... (307 characters)

Stopped in for lunch on a Wednesday - not a lot of people in at the time until the raucous crowd from the BrewBus dropped in...

We were seated at a communal table that was located in a room away from the main bar area. Nice enough seating and the community feel was cool (without the brew bus gang). Our server was very pleasant and well-informed. The menu was a little confusing about what constituted a flight, but the waitress explained it clearly. Not much to question on the menu - it is pub grub.

There were nine beers in the flight, two duplicates on cask which was a nice way to compare and contrast those beers. The beer was mostly OK, but I though the stout was awful. The food was very good - nicely prepared fish sandwich and my wife said the fish tacos were tasty as well. Good onion rings.

More than the vibe (which to me includes the people) the place does have a nice ambience from all the brick - it's a pretty cool building and the downstairs/outside seating would have been nice on a much cooler day. It was mid-90 weather and the AC was welcome.

I'd like to try the Freeport location to compare. They are always packed and always seem to have something going on. It was nice to check it off, but it's no place I feel compelled to visit again. (1,268 characters)

Was told by many of people that I HAVE to go there. Staff was super friendly but with the reputation they have....I was not impressed with the amount of out dated beers they had. I spent over 70 dollars in craft beers and thought they would all be fresh based on the stores reputation. I had to throw out 5 beers because they were undrinkable. But I know....Shame on me for not checking the best buy date. I know I know.... :/ (426 characters)

Austin Street Brewery

This brewery is in the corner with Bissell, Foundation, and Allagash across the street. Small brewery, small inside seating area jammed with wooden picnic tables. One lone person serving one lone brew at the tasting area - I don't know if the place had been over-run earlier in the day, but the person serving was obviously not into the whole thing. Maybe ten or so people hanging around, but no real vibe. The beer was OK. Since it is away from the "bigger boys" it was nice and quiet, but maybe that is a detriment - can't pick up the buzz from the neighbors. (561 characters)

One of our favorite stops in Maine. The staff has always been friendly and outgoing. Even when the room is packed it has always been service with a smile. When we've visited on slower days, the conversation is great as well. The people in the tasting room are knowledgeable about the beer. Sometimes the selection can be a little restrictive given the number of great beers Allagash has to offer, but that's a minor thing. Although the space is somewhat limited, there's the outdoor area and they seem to have taking care of the crowd down pretty well. (552 characters)

Creature Comforts is a great brewery, I went on a Tuesday to participate in their "curiosity Tuesday" which featured a double hopped Tropicalia that was a fun addition to their standard beers.. Plenty of wide open space for standing or some bar stools bordering the walls (and most walls are 80% window) Very cool setup. Bartenders were plentiful and helpful. Excellently run brewery. (387 characters)

This is a little diamond in the rough. I stopped in after flying into Midway and was not disappointed. It looks like a little hole in the wall and is pretty small, but the selection is very good. Lots of good local stuff from Chicago breweries as well as some really nice selections from other national distro breweries. (320 characters)

I stopped in at this place when I was waiting for the Revolution Brewery to open its tap room and I was not disappointed. The craft beer selection was fantastic and there were lots of thigns on the shelf from Revolution, Half Acre, 3 Floyds, and other local breweries that is difficult to get elsewhere. I was pleasantly surprised and will definitely find this place again the next time I visit Chicago. (403 characters)

it's not a big place, so if they are busy it can get cramped. their tap and bottle list is expansive but not always full of sought after brews. they do tap take overs quite often (when the good stuff is on tap usually.) they offer flights and it's a great place to try a bunch of different stuff. the food is better than i expected...nicely done bar food.

I wish the space was bigger but it works and fits into the neighborhood very well. (448 characters)

Was passing through the area and decided to stop by Crestwood Liquors. I wasn't really looking for anything in particular, just something to bring back and sip on. Store was very clean and well organized with the beer section to the back right consisting of a wall cooler and one aisle of bottles. Selection wasn't bad and snagged a 4 pack of Victory Dirt Wolf, which to my surprise was still well within the drink by date. In fact, all of the IPAs I looked at in the store were fresh. Major points for that. They had a few good imports, but not a whole lot of excellent stuff. Not a bad place to stop if your in Coventry and need something to sip on for the night. (670 characters)

This was a fun, out of the way stop. The small taproom sits in front of the brewing equipment and has an industrial feel, even though it's part of a large shopping complex (not a shopping center though - it's got an old, main street type feel). Usually 8-10 beers on draft with a focus on Belgian styles, although an IPA or two can usually be found. Service can be a little slow, but the bartenders are inevitably friendly and offer suggestions if you ask.

Definitely seems like a hit with the locals - usually small children/babies are there, and fortunately for me, they are dog-friendly as well. Overall, I think it's a great spot in a charming location with some solid beers to try. (693 characters)

Have gone here twice now. Small place in an old industrial building. Your GPS will get a bit confused since the factory is on a driveway that isn't mapped. You have to cross the rail road tracks and drive along the factory, parallel to the tracks, until you finally see a door with the sign above it. It's a small room that gets packed fast, lots of open floor space in the brewery though, so maybe expansion in the future? The beers are fresh and there's about 6-8 to choose from, depending on the rotation. Flights are $3 for 5 and you get really good pours. Beer is really great, the Nummy Nummy was good but the Naughty Eskimo and Thornton Melon were perfect for the summer. Service was OK, one of the brewers was really nice but the guy running the taps didn't seem like he wanted to be there and wasn't talkative. (819 characters)

Went on a Saturday afternoon and place was packed but service was quick. Somewhat of a party vibe as people having a good time but it was the afternoon so no one got rowdy. Selection is limited to only five of their beers but they're all good so no complaints there. Seating inside and outside is adequate and they have a couple of televisions in case you don't want to just sit and relax. They don't offer all five, only 4, of their beers on the sample tray which is odd but other than that this place is worth checking out. (529 characters)
