1/9/16 Niles, IL. Nice wide selection in terms of brewers and styles. Good prices, some very good sales. Wide variety of Midwest craft brews and beers from other areas in the country. They have Bourbon County releases as well. Overall good place to have in the area.

A really nice and spacious facility. The atmosphere was great and very warm, rustic and inviting. A small ptios is heated in the winter. They make their own beers mostly Belgium styles on premise. The beer as good but not a large selection as would would prefer to drink their house made beer as apposed to what I can buy in the store. The had a glass enclosed room where they where open tank fermenting one of their bees which was cool to see. The food was surprisingly good with a lot of house made items so definitely a nice find. Will be back soon

I love this beer . I had it 2 years ago and couldn't wait for the release 2016!!! The brewery opened at 12 and of course I got there at 10 and was 3rd in line. I got my 2 bottles and was happy to have them then sit at the bar and have one on tap . Wow such and amazing beer and dosent dissapoint.

nice think dark tan head . Roasted malt, chocolate, creamy. Just a beautiful beer and I feel lucky to be so close to this fantastic brewery. I actually went with my brother and mom so we got 6 22oz bottles and went back the next day and got 2 more to age but there not gonna last a week !

If you can find this one get it cause it will be a long 2 years!!! CHEERS

Nice atmosphere, a little too well lit, & not beer-centric enough for me. If you are into sports, plenty of TVs to watch. They do food, it looks a little pricey, but somewhat highend bar food from what I saw on the menu. No smoking which is great

All of the beers I've tried were good quality

Super friendly & attentive service ( sat at the bar both times)

About 30 taps, but about half are ignorable, there is an effort to support local brewers, so that's cool.

If you are in South Florida this is the new must see place. Even though they have only been open a few months Civil Society is putting out some amazing beers. A no frills place with ample seating and a great selection of beers, mostly IPAs. Lots of people have been comparing their stuff to some of the greats coming out of New England. Most times they have about 10 beers on tap and offer different pour sizes (4/8/16oz) at great prices so you can try a bunch of stuff in one visit. They also do crowlers to go so you can take home the goodness, no growlers at this time. If this place keeps it up they will definitely outgrow their current location quickly.

C&P is in a transitional neighborhood but worth the trip. The one negative is that it's too small, arrived on a Saturday afternoon to find a short que waiting for seats. Once we were seated all was great!

Quality beers however selection is limited, but what separates this brewery from most others is the food. Great choices and unlike the last reviewer I love beets.

3.63/5  rDev n/a | Avg: 3.63
vibe: 4.5 | quality: 3.75 | service: 3.5 | selection: 3.5 | food: 3

Trubble Brewing are still waiting on their final license to serve their own beers, I will update when that happens (very soon I have heard). In the meantime they are serving some local craft beers, decent, not great selection.

Food was okay, really unhealthy selections, however, particularly since they tout "fresh local ingredients". It's not bad, but could certainly use some improvement. Apparently a new menu is also coming soon.

Really nice, smaller location and vibe. Hoping things will improve with a new menu, and their own beers.

Well......This place just didn't do it for me. While they did have a bar rail, the place really seemed much more like a coffee shop, which it also is. I have seen this combo work before, but not this go round.

Service was lame, from what seemed to be a couple high school girls, but I guess they must have been 21 to serve beer ?

I had two Hopulus Maximus beers, and they weren't bad, but not great, either . The rest of the selections looked ok, but I really didn't feel like sticking around to find out. I was also served some of the most pathetic wings I have ever seen. Trust me, you don't want these. Wow. I did get a couple scones to go, which were pretty good.

Might be a decent place for a coffee and a scone, but if you want to be a craft beer bar, hire a proper bartender, and get rid of, or greatly improve the other food.

I am guessing the older two reviews on here are from Flatrocks old location in Holgate. Flatrocks location is now in downtown Napoleon, and while still not large, it is in a very nice old building downtown. 6 or 8 bar seats, a few tables, and a couple couches by the front window.

Nice selection on tap, 8 or 9 choices. I had a very nice grapefruit IPA, and a Pagan Bourbon Aged Stout, also quite good. There were only a few other locals there on an early Sat. afternoon and they were quite friendly, as was the female bartender. No food served. They also had some bottled beers available for carry out.

Nice, modern looking place with friendly folks, and good beer. Worth a stop.

I Visited Crank Arm Brewing on 2/06/16. The taproom was set up nicely, with bar seating as well as quite a few tables. You had to order your beer at the bar, which seems pretty typical for taprooms. We had the 5 beer sampler. The beers were pretty good. I was not a fan of Beetaway, but I'm not really a fan of beets. I would recommend this place for anyone looking to have a couple beers on Raleigh.

in Delray Beach, Florida

3.8/5  rDev -14% | Avg: 4.42
vibe: 4 | quality: 4 | service: 4 | selection: 4 | food: 2

Beer Trade is a pretty interesting self serve yourself concept. Walk in select a beer out of the cool, grab a chilled glass, then open and enjoy. I've visited this bar about 4 times now and have been pleased each time with their bottle selection, every time it looked like they had changed things up with the bottles, a few standbys were always present, but they do a good job at rotating stock. They also have a few taps with a rotating selection as well, most times it has been local stuff. None of the bottles are priced, but I'd found most 12oz bottles fall in the $4-6 range, pretty good for downtown Delray. When you are done you take your empties to the counter and pay. On thing not good at this place is the food, overcooked chicken standard frozen fries, the kitchen is the one thing they could definitely improve on.

3.72/5  rDev -10.8% | Avg: 4.17
vibe: 3.25 | quality: 3 | service: 4 | selection: 4.5

Core has only been brewing since 2010, but they are already far and away the largest brewery in the state. They are an excellent marketing and distribution strategy (they have pubs in 5 towns now, and one at XNA airport that will be opening in three weeks, and are planning on putting one in Central Arkansas soon). They are in Missouri, Kansas, and Tennessee as well, as well as in Texarkana, albeit only on this side of the line to my knowledge. Core has been instrumental in bringing the craft beer movement, and more specifically the local beer movement, to the Natural State, and while they most certainly don't brew the best beer in the state, most everything they have put out has been pretty solid.
The brewery itself is pretty simple and small, although they are expanding, spanning across a couple of warehouse-like buildings. All the employees are cool and knowledgeable and they give thorough tours all the time. The bar/tasting room is pretty sweet, with an outdoor patio area, and they always have a ton of beers on tap to try.

Unfortunately in sorta-sketchy Downtown San Jose—I would not want to be rolling out of here at night after 5 or 6 beers... High ceiling, lofty industrial minimal feel inside. Probably equal indoor/outdoor seating. Good tap list and several coolers full of (onsite or) to go options. Walking distance to a couple other spots so convenient geographically. No food.

Cool little spot in Downtown San Jose just wish Dowtown San Jose wasn't so scummy—don't get too drunk here... Great tap list. Bottles to go if you desire. They usually get a keg of Younger. Often have a couple SARAs on tap. They participate in SF Beer Week... Vegan food. Not particularly my thing but not terrible—nice to have something to nibble on. Overall, fun kooky little hippie joint with great beers!

Taft's Ale House

4.65/5  rDev +9.2% | Avg: 4.26
vibe: 5 | quality: 5 | service: 4.5 | selection: 4.5 | food: 4

I am surprised that Taft's Ale House does not have higher reviews.

As for the location, I cannot stress enough how amazing it is. The Ale House is an old converted Protestant Church. It has been completely redone inside to create a two-story holy city of wrought iron, dark woods, tables, dining areas, cozy nooks and private rooms. The building is adorned with an array of Presidential memorabilia that rivals the Preaident Taft House National Park just a few minutes away.

The kitchen menu is not extensive but is of good quality and a step above standard pub fare. It is very meat-based though without too much variety.

Without getting too beer-specific here, they generally have about 12 different brews of their own on tap and brewed in house. There is a range of current standard American popular brews with only a couple more experimental options. All the ones I tried were excellent.

This place is a must to visit. We need more of these types of places in the world.

This place is outstanding. Was in Charlotte for a week and visited this establishment twice (one a Tuesday and Thursday night). The other two reviewers described the place well, but this is almost the type of place that you don't want that many people to know about...enough to keep it going, but not too many so that it gets crowded and loud (which it did on the Thursday night that I visited). The bartenders were great, very friendly and chatty. The beer menu, both on tap and in bottles was really good, but in my opinion, you need to go for the cocktails. Some of the best that I have ever had...the Smoked Sour is amazing (I know this is a beer forum, but you need to know this). Next time that I am in Charlotte, I will be back.

Since Randy has arrived from Whole Foods P Street in November, he's transformed this place into arguably the best beer store in the area. Great prices, great service, great selection of cans, bombers, etc. If there's a limited release beer, chances are they're going to have it along with the best selection of everything else.

New Whole Foods that opened next door to Best Buy. Sitting on the Patio though, feeling the sun on your face, I've come to appreciate this location. With a "whole" supermarket of granola type food available at your fingertips behind you, the deli/bar area stand out w fresh hot foods as well. The selection was rated based on the plethora of Arkansas' brews they had available, although they aren't that good, the service is impeccable as the bar specifically opened for me and to accommodate my need for a local flight.

This place has a very good selection of a lot of different beers. I would say the prices are on the high side. It was hard to know what the new or fresh beer was. They had a very good selection of beers on tap for growlers. You could even get a beer and browse the bottle selection.
