Stopped in for a beer while in Toledo.
Sports bar vibe, lots of TV's showing football, they also have a small stage for live music. 35 taps, so a good selection. No special releases, but a good mix.

Went last night, nice little narrow place on State Street across from Portofinos. Long bar seats about 12-15 and there's tables all around. Nice vibe, nice people, fairly quiet. Service was solid, got beers very fast. Selection right now is a bit wimpy, but they have 3 taps and a lot of bottles/cans which seem solid. Had the new Sierra Nevada Oktoberfest and some Berliner Weisses from White Birch. Didn't have any food so no rating there. Nice place for an evening cocktail/beverage after Modern Apizza.

Enjoyed Blind Pig IPA, food quality was wanting, for british pub their bangers and Mash needs an overhaul. sausage too salty. Great drinking location.

Went and grabbed a sandwich and a couple beers with a bud of mine after work. Fun little place with a bar in the middle of the brewery that has a garage door that opens up to covered outside seating. Creative, fun little place with TV's showing a few college games. I did knock them down for service, but that was more for the attitude of one of the bartenders and not their service - but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt - we all have our bad days, so I will go back again.

Hands down, best selection in town. Owner knows volumes about beer and what to order before other places in the area. If you catch the owner there he will take time with you to talk beer and help you decide what to get.

This is a bar. Lively and full of locals rooting for either the Orioles or Ravens. BMCs and local beers on tap. Served in plastic cups and poured stadium style. All the fun that they have in Budweiser commercials while drinking Maryland beers.
Q: Hey, can you put the Giants game on? A: "No".

Stopped in here last month with the family on the way back from Maine. Great location at the intersection of 16 and 25. Rustic wood beams stone fireplace with couches and a square bar in the middle with a decent sized patio in the back. They had 8 or 10 brews on they day we stopped in, decent to pretty good. Mostly pub fare on the menu, but done very well. My wife said it was one of the best French Onion soups she'd ever had. Service was quite attentive on the midweek lunch session. Seemed a bit expensive even for a tourist area. I would go back if I were in the area.

finally made it in here, just down the road from trinity, which i seem to end up at every time i am down in the springs. a warehouse space run by military veterans, there is a definite army theme going on. seems a lot more authentic there than say a place like comrade, which is an unintelligent appeal to a similar crowd i think. small taproom rather minimally outfitted, with the brewhouse in the back, which i was told has expanded already a few times since they have opened. they had something like seven beers on tap, all really pretty generic styles except for a lemon saison that was very good. i was impressed with the quality of the beers for how uninventive they seem to be, especially the brown ale, which is fantastic beer. the service was fine, nothing remarkable, but what i think is really cool is all the charity work they seem to be involved in. they apparently are having a run/walk for wounded veterans, donate some money to help returned vets, and other similarly important projects for those folks. i really admire that mission. the folks in the bar seemed to be loyal to this place, suggesting consistency and friendliness, i felt immediately welcome in here. overall perhaps not crafting nearly as complex beers as the place up the street, but the quality is there for the most part and their involvement in the community makes them winners in my book. ill be back for the brown...

Food is great here and if you come in a Michigan summer - the patio is open. Music is always playing , and you have windows into the brewery if you sit at a table of the inside wall. Most beers are ok, with at least one on tap you are sure to love. Some of theirs recent B.A beers are OUTSTANDING. Not your typical microbrewery as far as ambiance, but a solid place to meet friends. Food here is done really well.

Craft bar in Will Rogers Airport by gate 18. I happily found this opened around Labor Day. Place has 4 local taps with good options like Prairie Bomb and Coop DNR. Service was slow; which for an airport is not a good thing. Staff was nice however, and the nachos were solid option.
Waiting in OKC for a flight just got much more fun.

On a weekend getaway to Charlotte, I had the pleasure of discovering the Olde Mecklenburg Brewery. Before coming, all I knew of OMB was the six packs I have seen at Total Wine in Greensboro. Upon arriving there, I thought for sure I was at the wrong place; there were several hundred cars parked all up and down the streets circling the area. I had merely assumed it would be a smaller place. I didn't know that the brewery sits on 8 acres with an enormous courtyard(sorry, biergarten) in the back. Upon walking around the side, I was blown away at the gathering of people there; inside and outside it seemed like there were 1,500 people. The start of the college football season had something to do with that I'm sure, as there are several big screen tv's inside the beer hall. Yet it was clear to see that going to OMB on the weekends is a go-to for a lot of people in Charlotte, and why not, the setting is inviting. The huge trees hanging over the tables in the biergarten, the crunch of the pea gravel beneath your feet, the weight of a just-poured glass of beer in your hand, the sound of a live band in the far corner of the property, the smoky scent of the food truck on the edge of the crowd all combine to tell you that you have stumbled into a very unique place. Charlotte, don't take this brewery for granted. Outstanding, unexpected surprise for me.

6 kegs on tap, of varying styles, and a few hundred bottles to choose from. They know and get and pour *excellent* beers: Simtra's Knee Deep and Wicked Weed's Freak of Nature, for instance. They'll sell excellent kegs for your party, too.

Bad neighborhood, but cool brewery. It's a small place, the bar seats about 10 people, and there are a few tables. Basic decor, some hipster art, but a nice bar setup, and an interesting old iron gate that separates the pub from the brewery section.
The beer line-up is nice, some basic stuff on tap, IPAs, saisons, etc., with the occasional Berliner, fruited beer, or oddity (look up The Grod). Everything was really good, even if not utterly mindblowing. There's some definite potential here. The bartender was a little iffy, but I've met some of the other staff, and they all seem nice.
They do serve food here, somewhat limited menu since the kitchen area is very tiny. They seem to have a thing for beets, which is bad news for me. But they also seem to have a thing for dumplings, hand-made dumplings, and that's good news for me. I sampled the mushroom dumplings, and they were pretty tasty.
This is definitely a place to keep an eye on, and worth a visit if you're in the area.

Quite possibly the worst tap lines in NYC. I've been to this place before and had a similar experience and a few months later was in the same hood so went back... no change. Even the Singlecut and Other Half on tap tasted nothing like they should. Terrible.

Came here for a beer after an excellent food tour through the U Street/Shaw neighborhoods. Was really excited to find a place serving farmhouse style beers in DC. Found immediate seating at the second bar. Bartender greeted us quickly in an unenthusiastic manner. Seemed annoyed when I asked to taste the raised by wolves and bringing in the sheaves. Liked em both and ordered the sheaves after being asked if I knew what I wanted yet in a condescending manner. Poured in a wine flute and had some serious foam issues coming from the taps. Ended up with a pretty short pour for a $5 12oz farmhouse ale. Nearly Half the flute was foam. Beer was good but didn't like the attitude of bartender who was totally disinterested in service and ended up charging me for a $6 raised by wolves when it I had a $5 Sheaves. Didn't bother correcting the ticket and got out of there wishing there was some element of customer service rather than the customer seeming to be a burden. Highlight of the place was the laser pandas and fox mural on one of the walls. Left thinking the beer had real potential but I wouldn't bother going back. Not an Upright, Logsdon or Jester King although I got the impression they think they are.

I've visited Allagash since around 1997 and their operation has always been very customer oriented. Their tour is worthwhile and the staff seem to really know their stuff. The beer is fantastic, particularly if you are interested in Belgian style beers. They have branched out in recent years and the selection has increased dramatically. The quality of the beer is outstanding if not phenomenal. I no longer live close to Allagash Brewing Company, however when I am in the area, I always stop in to say hello and pick up some beer. Can't be much better!

Always been a fan of their beers. Recently got the opportunity to check the brewery out. While it was crowded, it was still pretty laid back. Kinda seemed like one bartender in particular was preoccupied with small-talking with other patrons, but I finally was able to get out to him what beer I wanted. The other, female bartender was very nice and courteous. Simple layout, no-frills, great beer. I'd love to go there again on a weekday.

Visited during Labor Day weekend.
The place was packed, but waited for 45 minutes across the street at the annex and sipped a Brother Benjamin
Went next door when we were called, and had a flight with a friend. Beer selection was great.
If you get the food, then get the BBQ/smoked meats as all smoking/BBQing is done in-house.
Service was "meh", but overall a great time.,

I had many talks with each visit. Good beers, good patrons. I did eat their food and found it tasty and progressive. Due to location parking can be a little tough.

One of several large chain grocery stores in greater Auckland. Each store has slightly different NZ handcraft offerings as well as imports from Asia and the old Soviet block countries, as well as European beers, mostly lagers. Still, the prices on the run of the mill NZ beers are cheaper than the bottle shops.

Staff is informative and friendly.

Peanut Butter Coco Time Imperial Porter was a gem. Stop by if your in the area like we did on our way to Traverse City. Parking is ample in it's strip mall location.

This cafe is located in Cornwall Park, the largest park/public space which is also a working farm in Auckland. Only 3 imports to choose from, but the sandwiches and cakes are quite good. And the outdoor seating in the park has beautiful vistas and flowering trees and beds all around.

Eight NZ beers and 3 imports. The lasagna was pretty good and the deserts were average. This lounge/cafe is on the 50th floor of Auckand's SkyTower, the tallest building in New Zealand (and resembles Seattle's Space Needle) so go for the awesome 360 degree views!

this is a really nasty place. dark wet a dreary. during mardi gras the bathroom floor is covered in piss. they do have a lot of beer to choose from but is over priced like everything else on bourbon st. the down stairs is your typical bar but has a to go bar at the entrance. the upstairs has a bar, pool tables and a balcony. you can also get souvenir cups there.
