8.5 years old is tough to overcome. Nice flavor, well-disguised abv, aroma is a bit diminished, but mouthfeel is gone. Still drinkable, though. Sorry I let it get to the back of the cabinet.

473 mL can from the LCBO; no packaging date, but I have no doubt that this is a reasonably fresh sample. Served barely chilled.

Pours turbid, muddy, and golden-apricot in colour, topped with an inch of soapy white head that crumbles within the next couple of minutes; a gorgeous sponge-print pattern of lace graces the glass in its wake. Other remnants include a frothy collar and some filmy wisps on the surface; looks good to me. Very citrusy on the nose, with plenty of orange juiciness, in addition to hints of pink grapefruit, passion fruit and peach.

Its flavours are along the same lines - brimming with orange and grapefruit, as well as lesser notes of stone fruit, passion fruit and melon - but trending towards a slightly more floral, resiny bitterness towards the back end, which builds a little over the course of the glass. Medium-full in body, with moderately low carbonation levels that gently brush against the palate, contributing to its smooth, soft and generally satisfying mouthfeel. A very drinkable IPA - at 5.8%, it's relatively light for the style, but without seeming to sacrifice anything in terms of flavour, so it goes down the hatch effortlessly. Needless to say, I almost ran out of beer before I finished this review.

Final Grade: 4.19, an impressive A-. Sandwich Brewing's White Bronco is an outstanding offering for (what I am presuming to be) their premiere retail release, in that there are several Ontario craft breweries who have been around for 10-15 years longer than these guys, and still rarely (if ever) manage to put out an IPA of this quality. Of course, depending on age and storage conditions, your experience may vary entirely, so it's best to just try this one as soon as you see it and report back.

12 oz bottle into a snifter

Jet-black in appearance, viscous brew with little carb or head. Lots of toasty bourbon notes in the nose, boozy as coffee notes abound. Surprisingly smooth and balanced in the palate...like the bitter coffee and astringent oak are offset by the bourbon’s vanilla sweetness. Some subtle notes of carob and burnt sugar toward the finish, which is short and clean.

One of the best coffee beers I’ve had, wow.

Pretty disappointing. Comes off very sweet with a backbone that's just too light for a TIPA. Doesn't make sense. A shame since last year was solid and North Park has a top notch hazy program for San Diego

I've now drank this a few times, brought it to happy hour at work, and blown a coworkers mind at the beer shop when I placed this in his hands. Such an interesting concept and well executed. For someone that missed a dream vacation to Kauai bc of covid this was Hawaii in a glass. My only real knock is the slight yeasty profile more prevalent in some cans vs others. Better ice cold. Well done this could easily be put in bottles and sold at a 375ml for $15. Well done North Park I haven't been a fan the way you've done releases or a lot of your latest drops but this was a winner.

Pours a mostly clear burnished gold color. Thin velvety white head dissipates mostly, but not completely.

Aroma is a light with notes of light grassy hops, hints of peach, apricot with a slight malty backbone.

Taste has notes of apricot, peach, light mandarin orange notes, and light grassy hops painted on the backbone of a slightly sweet somewhat carmelly malt.

Feel is light to moderately bodied, with a certain stickiness. Moderate carbonation.

Overall a nice IPA from Hopewell.

This was another can that I picked up at the new Greenpoint Brewery recently as I never had anything from Catskill before. Sure, the label was done up nicely but the liquid on the inside was a surprisingly good example of what a true Pilsner should look, taste, and feel like. Indeed, this was a honest, hard working beer!

Such a macro-lager look to this beer but boy, was it golden and bright! Really appealing, with a nice carbonation to it, as the head was subtly full and long-lasting. There was a thin layer of suds that lingered for the duration as only a small ring of lacing stuck about a quarter of the way down the side of my pint glass. Loads of grain and cereal in the nose with some lemon and a rustic, fruity feel underneath that. The taste was bright, balanced, and full with grass, malt, and more farmhouse as this was quite European in feel and not a cliche like so many other examples of this style. The carbonation was present, on-par, and enough to keep the spicy and peppery aftertaste in check.

Enough booze was present but it wasn't a deterrent as it gave this beer the legitimacy and heft that a good Pilsner needs. Very little bread and potato chip in this one as this was light enough to easily call for another. Dated 3/27 on the bottom of the can, this held up well over the last three and half months as it looked and tasted fresh. Really enjoyed this beer on this windy and slightly cool summer night, and I'd easily have another from Catskill in the future!

I can’t imaging a better wheat beer. I’ve had two other barrel-aged wits tonight (2nd shift gin barrel hibiscus then look it’s got pockets) then a Stella then this 12/29/2015 Florence. Unintentional aging brought out an amazing complexity. Even a little thick on the tongue still. A little lemon, orange peel, white pepper but so balanced. Not sour. Almost gave this a 5 for being the absolute paragon of the style. 5% wit—how do I rate alongside 15% pastry stout? Even if it was t 95f right now this is the better beer

Let me preface Raul writes the best reviews so mine will pale in comparison. Haven't bought much Stone of late but after having FML I've been willing to get them another chance. Smell started off really synthetic and off. Cleaned up a little after it aired but for a triple this comes off like "yeah we are serving you an easy going triple." This is pretty fresh. Hops are muted and I cant pick out any tropical flavors I would in a good quality ipa. Malty but not too much so. Honestly, this comes off pretty souless and I think this would appeal to all the bros out there who want to look like tough shit in front of their friends hitting the high abv IPAs. Tastes like a machine and not a brewer made this.

Bought a 750ml bottle for $15.49 in 2015 from Crockers in Niles, Michigan. Cellared this beer, but didn't intend to wait 5 years. Now I'm glad I did. This scotch ale was very smooth tasting. The bourbon after notes was just right. When I first poured it in a pilsner glass, it looked rough and really thick, so I didn't expect much, but it exceeded my expectations.

Poured into a tall clear pint glass. A hazy golden color, with a small fizzy white, fluffy head that dissipates somewhat slowly and leaves decent lacing.

Aroma consists mainly of mango of course, and other fruit aromas. Notes of apricot, peach, tangerines, papayas, and tangerines, and also honey and wheat.

Taste is definitely more wheaty than the aroma would suggest, but you can taste the mangoes and honey well with it. The other sweet notes take the backseat, but are still present. Body is medium-light.

Poured out of a 12 oz can into one of my pokal glasses, this beer pours a clear, pale, light to medium golden color with lots of streams of little fairly rapidly and continually rising to the beer's surface. Has a white head that's well over an inch thick when first poured that settles fairly quickly to a thin white ring lining the inside of the glass. Aromas of some bready, biscuity, grassy malts with a bit of yeast. A very similar flavor profile, with the aforementioned bready, biscuity, grassy malts with a bit of yeast and a nice herbal hop presence. The hops are fairly subtle, and that works very well here. Not a very complex flavor profile, but spot on for the style and quite tasty. Has a mainly crisp, yet smooth, light to medium bodied mouthfeel with moderate carbonation. Has a clean finish with a grainy, herbal aftertaste that likes to stick around for awhile after each sip.

been trying to blast off on this for some time, its a real nice beer, sexy label, and yet another banger from revision, as soon as i sent a smattering of their beers to my brother back east, they came out with another round of headies and i feel like he missed out, ill send again i guess, but these guys are slaying. the first one from the four pack i had didnt wow me, but the rest of them have, full of raw coconut and vanilla and candied citrus goodness, but all from hops, and again these guys find a way to make another hazy beer seem unique, which is more and more impressive with each can they release! hazy looking sure, but not gross, snow capped peaks in the head, pure looking up there, high elevation and retention, yum. the flavor is the same as the nose, fleshy coconut, tangerine, green grape all hard and cold and close to frozen from the depths of the fridge on a hot day, and lemongrass, and i taste something new each time i take a pull, muddled passion fruit with seeds here, lime zest there, lotion from the mall over here, it really is dynamic, fragrant, juicy, rich, and decadent as this sort of thing goes, but painfully drinkable, like real pain if you drink them all, but its an easy beer for what it is. i warmed up real slow to these guys, but the beers one by one keep taking them to the next level for me, and i am a full fledged fan now, they dont miss, and i look forward to each new one. wow this is good!

okay, maybe this was just a rebrand, fine, call it hazy because its trendy, but if thats how stone rolls, screw them, its misleading and you cant just add a style descriptor thats trendy to make a dying brand relevant. im adding this as a new beer today because they are presenting it as one, and if its just an unfiltered version or even unchanged, damn them. having this under this label for the first time from the tiki pack, and its hard not to notice the "hazy" branded on the label now. unfortunately, its also hard not to notice the thick layer of sediment in the bottom of the bottle and the fish food when i put it in the glass. its cool the blast up whole tangerines and all, but this looks sloppy to me, even with a nice head, especially with some natural light coming in, just looks unrefined. the rest of the experience is nice, i get some pineapple and some sweetness there, i pick up the right amount of alcohol for it too, and some classic stone bitterness, tastes somewhat better than i remember the original, which may be the same beer, but who knows with these guys anymore. if this is a new beer, its not that different, and if its the same beer, that it should be better by now, its tasty enough, but you see, its still a lose/lose in that way. ill drink the rest of them from the pack and be satiated, but whats the story here, add hazy the label because its selling right now, or reinvent the beer? either way, i reckon its not fully successful...

Can from Market of Choice.

A mildly hazy light yellow with a dense, white head with good retention and lacing, this looks solid. The nose is solid, with a clean grainy pils malt character along with lemon, mint, a little grapefruit juice and spruce. Mild dough, this is more of a clean and crisp malt, rather than a more rustic note. As this breathes, the citrus dry hop character comes to the forefront, making this more IPL like than true pilsner. the palate opens moderately fruity with plenty of dry hop character, fruity and mildly floral, with grapefruit, melon, a little spruce to go with the spicy lemon notes. This is followed by a mild grainy character, mildly rustic and grainy. A touch sweet on the midpalate. Drying, mildly bitter on the finish, this moderately carbonated pils is entirely serviceable.

Aroma of mildly caramel malt, plums, raisins, light stone fruit and a hint of oak. Flavor is dry caramel malt, vanilla, oak, dried light stone fruit, raisins; oaky vanilla finish with some wood astringency and lingering dry caramel. Medium bodied with light creaminess. Delivers on its promise of an English style barleywine with distinct oak barreling character. The malt is a little on the thinner side, which brings out the oaky vanilla. There is typical dark dried fruit, but a little mild tartness in the finish, perhaps from the yeast that tastes a bit like their Belgian yeast. A light, but solid English style barleywine.

Poured from 16oz tall can into a tulip. Canned 6/18/20. "Cachet me outside, how bou dat?" the stamp says ... capital!

Appearance: murky darkish yellow hue with three fingers of frothy ivory foam atop. This seems to be a pattern with these Tree House NEIPAs, and it's not a bad one.

Smell: spicy, overall, but also sweet and juicy. The spicy, earthy hops are quite smooth as well. Not bad at all.

Taste: ooh, very interesting. Much more juicy than the aroma suggests; papaya and guava, and other earthly delights. Definitely some stone fruit in the mix. I don't quite get the coconut from the description, but this thing is a helluva party, and I am absolutely into it.

Mouthfeel: medium-rich body with a very good and well-integrated carbonation and a great creaminess. These folks at Tree House have texture _nailed down_.

Overall: definitely my favorite of the Tree House beers I've tried. The others were very good as well, and well-made, but the flavors of this one simply appeal to me a whole lot more. Wonderful!

DANK and subtle berries, nose is potent but not explosive.

Taste follows nose, delicious Mosaic west coast goodness. Moderate bitterness, clears palate quickly.

Low-medium bodied with medium carbonation, lively on tongue and slick on the swallow.

Might be my favorite beer from New Glory. I'm sure it's time sensitive...label indicates DDH but also "triple dry hopped to a gruesome degree". If you love Mosaic hop expression in a West coast format with limited malt backbone grab it (while fresh).

Pours a thick dark brown with about a finger of dark brown head. Bubbles rise to the top slowly.

Nose is definitely packed with blueberry. Some malt, some chocolate, but not much.

Taste is pure blueberry syrup initially. Sweet and almost medicinal. It's a bit off putting. As it warms though it allows for more room to let the chocolate join in. But the whole way through blueberry runs the show. Drink slowly because this is a sweet one. Alcohol is really well hidden though.

Mouthfeel is full bodied, silky smooth, with mild carbonation. If you've had one Hubbard's Cave brew, you've pretty much had em all in terms of the mouthfeel department. A tad more sticky and cloying than others in the past.

Overall this is a solid beer but just needs to be refined a bit. Rein in the blueberry, let the chocolate come through, and maybe it would seem more like a muffin. Rather than just feeling like I'm sitting here drink carbonated blueberry syrup. A bit of whiff to be honest.

Appearance: Dark thick crude oil colored beer. Dark tan head which initially rose a notch below one finger's length off the body. Drops quick after two or three sips.

Smell: Coffee deep with mocha and hints of vanilla bean extract.

Taste: Sweet coffee with deep chocolate. Almost like a Hershey's bar dumped into a pot of American coffee with a dose of half-and-half.

Mouth: Super sticky body coming off with a soft carbonation. I'm thinking Nestle Quik with the morning coffee when I was a kid.

Overall: Good solid brew, especially if you're a chocolate chaser with your Imperial Stouts. Salud!

Caramel malts and lightly toasted malts on the nose. Buttery.

The flavor follows the nose, with toffee, bread and toast, and butterscotch. Just a bit of grassy/earthy hops at the finish for balance.

The mouthfeel is medium in body, but fairly light given everything else going on. A fairly light amber brew. Well carbonated. Not crisp, really, but still very drinkable.

Macro-ish? Sure. But for the price and availability, this is a solid brew.

Smell - citrus and tropical hops, citrus and orange peel, grapefruit peel, apricot, pineapple, hint of mango and passionfruit, bready malts, and earthy yeast.

Taste - citrus and tropical hops upfront. The citrus and orange peel, grapefruit peel, apricot, pineapple, hint of mango and passionfruit follow suit. The bready malts and earthy yeast round out the brew.

Mouthfeel - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Finishes sticky with the citrus and tropical hops and fruits lingering.

Overall - A bold, flavourful, and dangerously sessionable brew from Cabin. Time and time again they have nailed the New England IPA style while experimenting with different ingredients. Another stand out from this brewery!

Poured from 16oz tall can into a tulip. Canned 6/17/20.

Appearance: highly turbid medium-yellow hue, with nearly 3 fingers of frothy, pillowy ivory foam atop. I think it looks quite lovely.

Smell: brightly herbal hop aroma, even a bit spicy; there's also a character of citrus zest. It's not juicy to me, per se, but interesting and downright intriguing.

Taste: earthy and quite juicy, actually, but I'm having a hard time putting my finger on the juice of *what*. The juice of ... hops, I guess? Extremely smooth with a little bite of bitterness at the end; this is a damn interesting beer. I like it.

Mouthfeel: medium-rich body with a big, well-integrated carbonation and really a superb creaminess, especially for the style. Outstanding.

Overall: this beer is a bit of a more bitter take on the NEIPA; although it's very smooth, it is a bit prickly. I really like it: the hop flavors are earthy and interesting; although, to be honest, I prefer a more fruity-juicy character in my NEIPAs.

L: Clear amber with 2 fingers of foamy head.

S: The lime jumps out right away, with a yeasty lager underneath.

T: The lager in particular is Brewkettle flavored. The salt & lime take a backseat in this one, it's most apparent on the finish.

F: You could pound 6 of these in no time. It's lightweight, also wholesome and buttery.

O: Very good to extremely good. I would say this is on par with Rhinegeist Cheetah, which is a huge compliment.

No canning date (released on 6/20/20, so presumably canned within a few days of that date)

Pours a turbid golden honey hue and topped with multiple fingers of white head; decent retention leaves a half-finger of foamy cap, chunky collar, and gobs of webby, soapy lacing spread generously around the glass.

Aroma opens with light white wine grape phasing into passionfruit and ultra-fresh mango slices as a melon and cat piss-dank quality contrasts softly over the middle; papaya rind and flowing tropical resin mark the back end of the bouquet.

Taste brings peaches and passionfruit into a wave of tropical resin over the mid-palate; slightly underripe tones of melon alongside hints of papaya come together for an earthier, yet still tropical, back end, while touches of flaky malt are still present in the backdrop.

Mouthfeel features a medium-full body, crisp and drying upfront, as a mild-medium carbonation spritzes along the palate offering a delicately vivacious character; a resinous, citric brightness develops over the mid-palate before touches of booze meld into a prickly, mild bitterness on the finish and through the swallow.

Plush and inviting, this TIPA betrays what you might expect from a +10%er in the style; instead, the result is something as spectacularly even-tempered as it is coolly expressive; a truly impressive display quality and balance in a fashion Tombstone is quickly becoming known for, at least in my mind.

An easy pour from a 12-oz. can yields a fat finger of short lived off-white foam with small spots of lace.
Very hazy brownish amber color.

Bready malt greets the nose with dough and toast. Floral hops are faint along with a hint of pitted fruit sweetness.

The taste is neutral and mildly bitter throughout the drink with a big malt backbone, some caramel malt almost adds sweetness. Clean fast finish, almost crisp. A mellow hop bitterness is all that's left during the aftertaste.

Medium-light bodied with soft, lasting carbonation. Full flavor yet not filling. Alcohol is very well hidden.

L-Pours a mahogany colored body with a one finger soupy and fizzy head that dissipates quickly. Ends up to almost nothing on the head within a few minutes.
S- Interesting aroma for sure. Cherry immediately, followed by an almost Dr. Pepper or Cola aroma. I also smell molasses and maple syrup too. Something a little funky on the end too.
T- Cherry and maple syrup up front, apple juice, bread and cracker on the end. Slight bitterness and malty sweet throughout.
F- On the heavier side of medium bodied. Watery finish.
O- A solid American Belgian Strong Dark, but nothing special. Not thoroughly fleshed out in my opinion. Some things about this beer are good and other things are just a little off the mark. The flavors don't mesh totally well, but, it's interesting enough to try. I don't know if I'll have this beer again, though. It just doesn't have that snap that true Belgian strong darks do.

Imperial Catharina Sour with apricot and passionfruit.

Packaged July 3 so a fairly fresh can.

Appearance - Pours a honey apricot with three fingers of frothy cream coloured head.

Smell - brett yeast, apricot, passionfruit, sour aromas, bready malts, earthy, citrus, and tropical hops, and a fuzzy peach candy scent.

Taste - brett yeast and bold sourness upfront. Then it quickly goes into the bold notes from the apricot and passionfruit. The bready malts, earthy, citrus, and tropical hops, and fuzzy peach candy scent round out the brew.

Mouthfeel - Medium bodied with moderate to high carbonation. Finishes tart and fruity.

Overall - A highly flavourful sour from the Establishment. I like how the apricot and passionfruit are at the forefront of this brew. I'm not the biggest sour person but this one is quite pleasant.

500ml can purchased from grocery store poured into a hammer textured pint glass. Soda style carbonation with audible fizz that bubbled to nothing within 15 seconds. No ring. No lacing. Very limited carbonation thereafter; really only after I took a drink and set the glass back down, I'd witness a few rising bubbles then back to complete stillness.. This is completely lifeless... Did I get a bad can? Smells of caramel, booze and sugar. Taste is the same. No sign of hops and a bit of malt, but really just sweetness and caramel throughout. Decided to dump this one as it just didn't feel right. I'll try another and will revise my review if the experience is any different.

Well, in this year, something with the word Corona that is better than bad...

Picked this up simply to have something sessionable during the summer. I really didn't expect much, and frankly didn't get much, but this was good enough. Mind you, not really that great, it's purely a bland beer, but it does work on a hot summer's day if you're looking for something to pound at the beach.

L: Looks promising. Straw yellow. Partly hazy. 2 fingers of chalky head. I don't care for the label however.

S: A bit of malty, yeasty tanginess. The wheat ale base is traditional. Then it gets dry hopped. The coriander and citra hop added during this phase give it a Belgian Witbeer feel. Orange peel would not be out of place here--in fact it's hard to say what else they may have added during the dry-hopping phase.

T: I suppose what I'm tasting is, like the can says, coriander and salt on a wheat ale background. It's not tart or sour like I expected. Now that I'm reading the Wikipedia it seems it might be a traditional take on a German Gose style beer.

F: Juicy and fun. Light bodied. It's not tart or sour so much as it is curious.

O: Actually solid. I didn't want to like it, but it is indeed very good.

Poured from 16oz tall can into a tulip. Canned on 6/17/20. My first Tree House beer!

Appearance: highly turbid darkish-yellow hue with two thick fingers of frothy ivory foam atop. Looks great.

Smell: dank yet fresh; there's a good underlying juiciness and sweetness. It doesn't knock me over with volume, but it is largely free of flaws. Very good indeed.

Taste: dank and juicy, but not as dank as the aroma; the flavor is much more "approachable", as it were. Bitterness is quite low but still present, and the fresh juiciness builds on the palate in a delicious way. This is indeed among the best hazies I have had.

Mouthfeel: medium body but with a good carbonation and an absolutely huge creaminess. Very satisfying.

Overall: Tree House has a lot of hype around them, but in this case, I tend to think it justified. Just a wonderful beer.

Can. White head with lace. Cloudy yellow gold.

Tastes almost too juicy to be a west coast ipa. It’s not a NE ipa, but it deohas a juicy vibe. Mango and orange with a bit of melon. Earthy and floral. I just don’t get much dank or resin. There is a lot of bitterness in the finish. Tough to rate this one. Great ipa, but not what I want in a west coast.

Poured into a narrow pint glass: color is straw, hazy, not too dense, thin head, bright white head.

Smell is light malt, definite key lime aroma, little much else.

Taste is over the top key lime juice, i don't get much else, no vanilla, very feint malt flavor; this is hard to drink.

Mouthfeel is an immediate pucker, which is anticipated given the style; then lingering acidic burn from key lime, light sweetness and lingering acid on the tongue; actually seems to get more puckering as it warms.

Overall this was not a beer that had much beer character, it was really overdone by the key lime as it literally tasted like lime juice mixed with some malt sugar water; I perceived no vanilla and would have liked malt character to back the 'pie' like character the name leads you to believe.

Pours a polished copper with burnt orange edges, two finger cap of eggshell foam. Smell: ripe pear, soft red apple; bready, spicy, dried dates, a little black pepper. Taste: unfiltered apple juice, orange peel; whole grain roll, caramel; moderate clean bitterness, finishing a bit spicy. Medium bodied, carb is a prickly upfront but mellows out. There's a little funk midsip, just a tiny bit acetic and cheesy in a Fantome kind of way. Really tasty.
