330 mL bottle. Clear deep golden. Smells of sweet malt, a little cardboard. Note sure about this. Tastes much better, though. Spicy and grassy throughout. Still has a sligtly floral character and a sweet malty flavor, but mostly masked by the hops. Light and drinkable. I was looking for a traditional Czech Pilsner for comparison. This was the best I could come up with.

Look: Short lived white head, clear golden body that leaves tiny lacing around the rim
Smell: When I cracked open the beer, I got a whiff of skunk and greenery, which after letting air out turned to a bready, slightly citrusy, moderatly hoppy aroma.
Taste: Lightly toasted bread, mild hop bitterness, some phenolic spices
Feel: Light body, fluffy, refreshing, crisp finish
Overall: At first whiff I was put off, but now I think it's ok. Nothing to fawn over, but a style defining beer that everyone should try at least once.

Got this one as part of my last Total Wine haul.

Look- Amazing. Gold body, crystal clear. Thick, foamy white head. If I were to choose what a prototypical lager would look like, it would be this one.

Smell- Malt, crackers, and a hint of musk.

Taste- Very malty, cracker carries over a bit, too. Medium bitterness due to hops. This is a little more peppery than most lagers I have tried.

Mouthfeel- Creamy, especially on the swallow. Good amount of carbonation tickles the tongue. There is a lingering hoppy bitterness on the top of the tongue. Medium body, very filling.

Overall- There is a lot of character here. It is not boring like many American lagers. The history is very cool. I would try it again, especially with pizza. I could probably only have one because of how filling this beer is. I would try it on tap in a heartbeat if available.

This brew pours golden brown with a finger inch thick white cap. A whole lot of bubbles dancing to the top.Nose is that of barley and some hops.Tastes and drinks like a pilsner. Clean finish.slight oil or resin in the mouth feel.

Pours a translucent golden hue. Heavy pour, but not much head retention. Salty cracker aroma. It's got some spicy bitterness with a little bit of sharp cheddar. It's crisp, but the finish isn't wholly clean. There are many pilseners I prefer over this, but this is an OG.
