Being the 1st to review this beer, I'm assuming its an American Dark Wheat Ale and available in summer but I'm just guessing so feel free to edit. ABV I left blank but I'd guess between 4.7-5.5
Also a portion of the proceeds of this beer go to National Museum of Civil War Medicine. Pretty cool!
Appearance - Very beautiful orange hazy hue, with 1 finger head that holds retention very well and excellent lacing.
Smell - Very malty with some caramel sweet notes I'm picking up. Not exactly the lemon and peach zest as stated on the label. Throws me off some. More like a bock or Vienna Lager scent to me.
Taste - Light and tangy with peaches and lemon and hops slightly noticed but balanced well with the malts. A slight metallic taste but nothing off-putting and barely noticeable.
Mouthfeel - a tad watery, but the creamy, buttery head on the upper lip helps out some.
Overall - A very nice Wheat Ale. Original flavorings compared to many other wheat beers I've sampled, light and easy to drink. Nothing I'd purposely seek out, but definitely a beer that can be enjoy in session and would accept if offered. And the whole Civil War Heritage tribute of this beer is super cool as well.
