Lion's share of beer on tap is Boreale filled out with typical imports, Bass, Smithwick's, etc...
They don't take debit here FYI, cash or credit only. Decent place but not one i'd revisit for beer.

I had a busy day going up and down town checking out beer establishments. By the time I walked into the Sainte-Élisabeth Pub, I was cold and my legs were ready to give out. The fireplace was on when I arrived, setting a chipper mood to the dimly lit pub. Couches and soft comfy leather chairs adorn the floor on the first floor. Nevertheless, I headed to a bar stool. Even around 5pm, many of those comfy chairs were occupied and the place was alive. I got to watch the snow fall in the terrace from the window as I consumed a simple beer.

Selection is alright, it's one of the few places east of St-Laurent which you'll find many of the British Isles beer on draft. Unlike some of the pubs on Crescent Street, they offer a few "hard to find" beers in bottles. Highlights of that include Delirium Tremens, XO Cognac Beer, and Duchesse de Bourgogne. Having Leffe Brune on draft was also a surprise. And don't forget about Boréale and Alexander Keith's (for what that's worth). Draft beers are offered in 10 ounce and 20 ounce sizes.

While it isn't a must-stop, it's a comfy place that hit the spot when I needed a recharge.

I just arrived from the Sainte-Élizabeth on Sainte-Elizabeth street.
The atmosphere reminds me of a typical british pub in business areas.
On the first floor, the lights might be a tiny bit too dark, I dont know how many drunks I saw tripping on everything(PS including me!). The second floor might needs new chairs, the patio PVC chairs are not my typical pub apparels. Anyway, what I like is the terrace and how it is presented, unique in Montreal. Except if you want fast service dont pick the terrasse.

The selection wasnt bad, the usual pubsters such as Guinness, Bass, Kilkenny, Podington's, you know! With the complete line of Boréale with the new white boréale (which I tried).

Tucked away in an alley off Ste-Catherine Street between St-Denis and St-Laurent, the Ste-Elizabeth pub has been open for 7 years now. When you hit Ste-Elizabeth street, look for the Guinness/Stella signs, you shouldn't miss it.

When you walk in, it looks like your average "Irish-style" pub, nice and dark, lots of wood, an island bar, and some cozy sofas. Uptairs you can find a nice long bar, with plenty of taps, more seating, and a section behind the bar where you can sit near plate-glass windows that give you a bird's eye view of the terrasse in the back. The terrasse in itself deserves a 5 for atmosphere. In my humble opinion, it's the nicest one in Montreal. Feels homey and secluded, with trees, vines climbing up the brick walls, even propane heaters when it gets chilly. Don't take my word for it, check out the website. And a word to all you single guys/gals out there, there's no better meat market than a terrasse in Montreal on a hot summer evening. Needless to say, the place can get pretty packed evenings and weekends, even in winter, where students from the nearby University come sit by the fireplace and look at the frozen terrasse and dream of warmer days...

Lets get to the Beer. This place has over a dozen taps, so a lot more than what you'll find elsewhere. However, the lineup consists of the typical Guinness/harp/etc. and Stella/Hoeg/Leffe Interbrew family. One of the rare places in town to offer Leffe brune, though. On the domestic side, the complete Boreale line is offered, usually on special at 4 bucks a pint. Not bad. The website says they change kegs every two weeks to ensure the highest possible quality, so kudos to them for that.
Not much to offer on the bottled side, with McAuslan apricot and McEwan's scotch ale toping the list. A few Scotches ($$$) and draft Mistique Cider are also available.

Service is decent, although a bit slow sometimes, especially on the terrasse.

For food, they don't have a kitchen per se, but they'll order you something from a nearby restaurant, but don't waste your money and appetite, it's not worth it, there are too many good places in the area.

A summertime favorite right in the downtown core.
