look: 3.5 | smell: 3.5 | taste: 3.5 | feel: 3.5 | overall: 3.5

Appearance is midnight black and thick like syrup, not reLly a great choice on an 85 degree summer day.

Smells very malt forward, licorice, caramel, slight coffee notes dominate.

Very tasty, burnt caramel, coffee, and mainly chocolate.

Mouthfeel is thick and milkshake-like.

Overall a mediocre imperial stout, nothing really made this brew stand out.

look: 3.75 | smell: 3.75 | taste: 4.25 | feel: 4.25 | overall: 4

Serving Type: Bottle

Appearance: Nearly pitch black. Not much head to speak of and what there was quickly dissipated.

Smell: Fruity and floral type hops mostly but well balanced with a sturdy earthy backbone. Then a bit of roasty malt goodness comes through.

Taste: Suits my tastes well. I detect a bit of dark fruit but mostly big coffee and wood.

Mouthfeel: This one is odd of the few stouts I've been blessed enough to try. It's got a tingly thing going on. Afterwards coats the mouth as I would expect.

Overall: Giving this a 4. I do love a nice pitch black stout. Pretty tasty.
