Trestles is in the style of an American IPA. 2-row malt and imported light crystal malt create the nice color and clean finish. We use CTZ and Chinook hops in this beer following it up with a dry hop of Simcoe and Centennial in the fermenter bringing out a citrus aroma. Trestles IPA is light bodied, clean and pleasantly hoppy.

An IPA that’s a bit on the lighter side, in color, body and happiness. Resinous hop aroma and taste, a bit of metallic taste at the finish. Some light citrus notes also. Not bad, but surprised to see it 96.

Bottle says best within 30 days of purchase, but no bottling date found. Hmm, okay.

Appearance - Pours slightly hazy and orange amber in color with an off-white, finger width head. Fair retention before settling to a thin, broken layer of suds, thickening up around the edges. Lacing is fair, with some blotchy patches, a few lines and some small spotting.

Smell - Aroma is firm with honey sweetness, hints of orange and a trace of grass.

Taste - Follows the nose. Honey sweetness upfront and throughout with notes of orange, hint of grapefruit, grass and lesser pine bitterness. Faint caramel. Finishes with continuing honey and pithy/grassy bitterness, and it lingers into well into the aftertaste.

Mouthfeel - Light-to-medium in body with moderate carbonation. Slick, easy drinker with a slightly dry, refreshing finish.

Overall - Easy drinker, but not much of a hoppy punch. No bottling date so I have no idea the age of this guy. It's a drinkable, approachable IPA, but it wouldn't be my first choice.

Darker and Amber-ish, lighter in body than I would expect. Light citrusy flavor but I didn't pick up any in the scent. Easy drinking IPA. Moderate bitterness but not too much in the after taste so I like that. #leftcoastbestcoast

This one is a little different but I do like it. Copper colour and tan head. Smell and taste has a malt presence but the hops and citrus do balance it nicely. Not quite west coast, not quite east coast, but very drinkable. Prost!

Decent IPA with a name synonymous with surfing...

I surf, I love to surf. I love to surf probably as much as I love craft beer. So when I come across this brew named after one of the meccas for surfing in the US, I had to grab it. It was an IPA, a style that admittedly I'm not necessarily into, but one that I believe I appreciate a good IPA. This is so named IPA is decent. Nice orange-hued coloring with little head and a fruity orange smell to go with it's appearance. The mouthfeel was light-bodied but mostly also-ran and the taste was mostly hoppy, while missing those fruit notes of orange to the tongue. Not one of the better IPAs I've had to date but as I already mentioned a couple of time - definitely decent.

Mild, malt-forward taste that pours a dark gold, amber ish color. Head retention was beautiful, thick creamy head that stuck around. Not as aromatic or hoppy. Mild bitter after taste that ends smooth and easy to drink. Mild citrus notes. Not aggressive at all.
Worth a try.

Always has been my least favorite Left Coast beer. Still is. Slight citrus and pine. Nothing special about it, and a butter bomb in no time flat. Cheers.
