Contract brewed for Downey Brewing Company.

Consumed at Downey Brewing Company on April 18, 2011.

Beer is an exceptionally clear caramel color with only a thin skin of off-white foam for a head.

Very slight aroma of nutmeg and roasted nuts.

Very mild flavor. Restrained caramel malt character that persists long after drinking. A slight bitterness on the finish is overpowered by the moderately-sweet malt. Not especially true to style, this is more like a substantial lawnmower beer than an alt.

Mouthfeel is slightly thick and somewhat creamy. Nice.

Overall, not difficult to drink at all, but not very style-correct. 5.2% ABV.
