Part fruit beer, part Belgian Ale, Pisgah Brewing has bridged this gap with a stronger Belgian-styled Pale Ale that's flooded with fruit puree.
Leading with a hazy bronze appearance, the vibrant ale builds a creamy ivory froth while hosting a scent of all-things-berry with a spicy tingle of the nose, rose wine tendencies and a background of pastry grains. And its those grains that transpire on the tongue in those early sips, trending with dough, tart and cobbler.
The full breadth of those berries bring a blended taste of cherry, raspberry, cranberry and blueberry in a bold cobbler sweetness and tanginess. As the ale trends drier, those rose wine influence start to show, leading to a spicier, slightly bitter late palate.
A mild alcohol spice grows in finish as the ale closes sweet, tart and slightly full. Much more of a fruit beer than a Belgian Ale, a medium length finish of spicy wine tannins, peppery hop resins and bold echoes of fruit.

Just short of outstanding, very enjoyable brew. Pours a dark orange/red color with a light red head. Scent is sweet of berries and very pleasant. Taste was sweet up front with some pucker on the backend. Eash sip had you wanting more. Medium mouthfeel and an aftertaste that follows the taste

A 16.9 fl oz bottle poured into an elongated tulip glass, winter 2018 version 8.5%. Smell is a variety of berries, blueberries mainly. Taste is predominately berry, with some malt and yeast buried on the back end. Light carbonation, slightly watery. Overall, this is good, well worth trying. I imagine it was somewhat bolder closer to release.

L: Had this beer on-tap at Gene's Haufbrau, poured into a pint glass. Had a reddish-amber color and a slightly hazy consistency. There was a half inch of foamy, somewhat long-lasting head. Not much lacing.
S: A decent, but not spectacular, aroma of cherries, malt, raspberries, and some other fruit.
T: Tasted of a hint of malt (in the finish), a good shot of cherries (the most ubiquitous ingredient), a bit of raspberries, some apples, and a little bit of citrus thrown in. Not a bad flavor at all, but it seems oddly unfocused. Sometimes it feels as thought the ingredients are jockeying for attention. Still, it manages to be pretty tasty.
F: A good amount of carbonation with somewhat slick finish. Medium-bodied.
O: This is an uneven beer in some respects, but it's worth a look. Drinkable.

Large three finger head, pink tinged white, quite loose and evaporates rapidly, you can hear the bubbles sizzle, any lacing is a sheet which glides back into the glass after any swirling. Muscularly active and large bubbles visible everywhere in the glass, rose colored pink to orange, clear on the whole but not that shiny. There is a metallic, earthy quality to the nose which sometimes evokes tar or sun drenched apartment building rooftops, not funky but not something you encounter often, makes it hard for the cherry and raspberry to compete although they are fresh and juicy, honey mixed with sage and marjoram, just seems to be lacking in direction. Medium-bodied, softer mouth feel, the carbonation is steady, not fluffy nor prickly. The raspberry pie flavors segue to more strawberry and green apple than cherry, in any event they all have that Jolly Rancher sort of concentrated sugariness and less natural flow. Beet sugar, orange blossom, rose water and honey. But again that burnt rubber tire to tar aspect won’t shake loose. Bready towards the finish, pie crust. Needs harmony and to focus more on expression of the fruit.

This little brew flirts heavily with Blushing Monk... yeah, it's almost *that* good.
Pours a nice ruby color with a frothy head that lingers, belgian yeast and berries in the nose and raspberries & cherries in the taste. As soon as the snow clears I'm heading back to the joint I bought my one bottle at - it's a damn good beer. Pick one up if you get a chance.
WAY TO GO, PISGAH!!!!!
Also - how can a beer celebrating their 10th Anniversary be "rotating?"
