Differentiated beer. Golden color. Dense foam, but not consistent. Aroma: sweet, fruity (perhaps too much) and citric. The flavor has that characteristic sour touch of beers from Schmitt and fruit (lemon and orange). It has a good price for being a quality beer, in addition to being a "special" beer easy to be found here in Brazil.

Well... this couldn't be further from an American Amber... but hey!

A pale, cloudy, thinly headed, mildly laced straw color... then a diacetyl laced pilsner malt aroma... bready... no real hop or yeast character.

Taste is mildly sweet through the middle, with appropriately balanced bitterness. Finish has some yeasty esters, but otherwise is bland, buttery, and a little skunky.

Shame, because mouthfeel is pretty on. Medium to light-bodied with a nice crispness.

Maybe this was a bad bottle? I'm not sure this is anything to write home about if fresh off the bottling line, but Schmitt's two other beers were far superior, so maybe I'll give this another chance.

Probably an American pale in attempted style.... but just not good as is.

Pours a nice frothy slightly off-white head with some stability and produces some good laceing. A rich deep golden copper color that has a good amount of carbonation. The beer was clear until the second pour released the sediment from the bottle conditioning.

The very fuity and floral hop character gives the beer a great nose, which is backed with a subtle but rich malt background. There is a nice fresh cut hay and flowers aroma to the nose.

The taste is very rich and malty but there is a slight hop bitterness that accents the great taste. There is not much of an aftertaste but a little of the hop bitterness lingers.

The mouthfeel is nice watery but with a slight courseness and powdery feel.

Good drinkability by itself or with a meal. A little priceier than other beers in Brazil but worth it for the quality of ingredients and brewing.

Lighter in color than other American Amber style ales. Not much of a toasty character as with others of the style either. I expected alittle more color and toasty flavor due to toasted malt being listed on the ingredients list.

Not much like Fat Tire, but it is malt focused with a fruity hop character. A very good beer worth the price. The label is very nice and very informative- The sediment is high in B vitamins. Definatly a craft brew- non fitered, bottle conditioned, no adjuncts, additives or perservatives. Brewed under the Reinheitsgebot and with a validity date of the 7th of August 2007.

fruity goodness!

this beer pours a light copper colour, with a reasonable head, that lasted quite long.
Smell is pleasant, and fruity, even though not very strong.
Mouthfeel is quite good, and this is a quite drinkable beer.
As far as the taste goes, I found it to be very fruity. Actually, I think this beer would be even better if it wasn't so fruity, since the "fruityness" tends to override the rest of the flavours.

All in all, a pretty good brew.
