Beautiful appearance beer (dark-brown color). Aroma of coffee, chocolate and something fruity and sweet. Taste: sweet, coffee, sour and dry. Medium bodied. It is well differentiated from other Stouts which I tasted. Very good and impressive! It is worthwhile to taste it!

355ml. Brown Bottle, nice sediment, Bottle conditioned? I know some of De Porto Ind. E Com. De Bebidas Ltda. Beers are.

Very nice creamy light brown head atop a pitch black, opaque beer. The head stayed around for half the beer producing good lacing.

Very rich earthy roasty coffee nose with a pungent citrus hop resin aroma just pushing through from behind and an alcoholic note as it warms. There is a slight touch of an off, musty smell to the nose.

The taste is roasty, with minor malt sweetness and there is a balancing hoppy bitterness on the sides of the tongue. The aftertaste is of dark roasted malt, almost slightly charred and bitter. This accompanies a slightly dry finish. Taste improves as it warms, better cool. I like that the beer is not overly sweet, the malt profile is more roasted.

The taste and mouthfeel are good but a little watery; they seem thin and need a little more malt, maybe chocolate to round out the flavor and thicken the mouthfeel. However for a lower alcohol Belgian Style Dark Ale it is excellent.

There is a good amount of sediment, probably not filtered. This would be a great beer on a Nitro tap.

This beer is extremely drinkable, with is rounded flavor and low alcohol content it is a good session beer or god with food. A “lite-dark” beer good for warm weather drinking.

This beer would be excellent served on nitro, would really give it the mouthfeel and depth of body it is somewhat lacking.

Flavors become more pronounced as the beer warms, better cool than cold. However this is how I like dark beers.

The price is worth it for this craft beer. Six ingredients listed: Water, Barley, Malt, Toasted Malt, Hops and Yeast.

350 ml bottle from Costi Bebidas, on to the beer:

Chocolate brown color, maybe a little darker than that. The head is respectable on top of the beer. The nose is very sweet. It's like baking chocolate. A touch of coffee breaks the sweetness.

The taste isn't as sweet as the aroma. In fact, it leans towards the tradtional dry stout with its roasted malts. It even leaves a smoked meats flavor as well. The hops are found, and they give the beer a squirt of tropical flavor. Come to think of it, it tastes more hopped than malted. Light-medium bodied.

Here's a respectable dry stout from the city of Porto Alegre. It's my first encounter with this brewery, and with a Schmitt barleywine in queue, it won't be my last.

350 mL bottle,

A: Pours a dark mahogany brown with a soft off-white head with fair/solid retention, gone by the end of the glass though.

S: Sweet dark bread, Rapadura, chocolate, nice fragrance.

T: Raisiny, sweet molasses flavours and dark pastry bread dominate. Not super sweet, but certainly the residual sugar is there. Belgian yeast character is mild, but noticable. Intriguing leather component as well. Full flavoured for sure, some liquid bread right here.

M: Medium-bodied, has and off-dry, but thin finish, no real aftertaste.

D: A quite servicable session beer here from Brazil. Glad Jon brought this one back. I would definitely have this again if it were available.
