Pours a finger and half of tan head on a black body.
The aroma is chocolate, wood and roasted malt. Nice.
The taste is a little watery, sweet, then some metallic bitterness.
The texture is crisp.
A nice porter.

Had on tap at Kay's Bar in SE Portland.
A deep brown/black body with a nice looking creamy tan head. Excellent retention as well.
Toasted and roasted aromas of Kenyan AA coffee, toasted malts, toasted oats, and freshly roasted cacao.
Very dry on the palate. Sports a medium to medium light body that is somewhat chalky, grainy, and restrained. Quite a bit of calcium. A pleasant, bitter finish makes this extremely refreshing and easy to drink for an American Porter.
While you could drink this anytime of year, it makes a great summertime porter.

I had this beer on-tap in a pint glass at the brewery. $3 pint Mondays!
Appearance: black with a thin layer of dark tan foam. Not at all bad!
Smell: lightly roasty and acidic aroma. Nice but not a lot of character.
Taste: toasty and rather dry. There's a big malt bitterness and concomitant astringency. Some coffee notes come through. A good dry porter.
Mouthfeel: medium light body with a good carbonation and a decent creaminess. I like it.
Overall: I'll say this is a pretty drinkable beer. Despite the roasty astringency, the dryness makes this quite quaffable.
