look: 2.5 | smell: 4.5 | taste: 3.25 | feel: 3 | overall: 3.25

Look - Pours crystal clear dark copper in color, a thin cap of rocky white head quickly dissolves, no lacing.
Aroma -Very rich, rum, earthy, vanilla, tobacco, spice.
Taste - Malt, syrupy caramel, walnut-like bitterness, vanilla through the finish. The aftertaste is sugary with a hint of alcohol.
Feel - On the thin side, low carbonation, a bit sticky.

Overall - One dimensional but enjoyable. Glad to give it a try but it isn't something I'd buy again.

Pours reddish brown. Thick, tall, off white head that lasts a while.

Smells caramel malt, fruit, oak, vanilla hints and nutty hints.

Tastes Caramel, fruit, some earthiness and nuttiness, light oaky vanilla, light rum. Finish semi dry light bitter fruity linger. Fuller medium body and creamy medium carbonation.

Bought from shelf at Total wine. Amber color with small amount of head. Smell is malts and sweetness. Flavor follows the same line. Sweetness from the rum, but much actual rum flavor. A bit thin bodied. Not a bad beer, just wish there was more rum flavor

Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a Dogfish tulip

L: Surprisingly clear dark red/copper pour. Thin off-white head. Spotty lacing.

S: Lots of oak... cherry... some booze and sweetness.

T/F: Fruity and dark... tobacco and cherry.... oak with a hint of vanilla and must. Complex and complicated... a bit of rum present, mostly in the finish. More barrel character than booze, and rounded out with some hop bitterness. Medium carbonation and medium body.

O: The flavor is subtle but complex.... and different from most others I've tried. Definitely one to sip... great for a cold night. Very glad I tried it.

Clear dark caramel amber.. Bottle purchased at the COOP.. Thin wispy head with no lacing. Hints of rum and oak.. caramel and treacle are present but seem drier than the original.

This is a solid beer with a pleasing aroma and a distinctive taste. I won't pretend to be an expert, but I could detect a strong maltiness and a hint of rum. I&G will definitely get a future pickup.
