Appears~ Pours like light beer, decent head but does not linger for long at all.

Smell~ Head releases strong aroma, kind of floral but more citrusy than anything.

Taste~ Keeping in mind that this is light beer, flavor is there. Taste how it smells and ends with a sharp bite at the end that I enjoyed.

Mouthfeel ~ Watery and carbonated, but it is what is is.

Drinkability~ I could have several of these and enjoy it. Hot summer day beer though, and it's 12 degrees outside so I'll store the rest until it's warmer. Maybe buy more. I enjoy a light beer once in a while. No think, just drink .... sometimes not a bad thing. Good try to for new beer drinkers.

Poured into a SA Boston Lager pint glass. Medium sized head with moderate retention. The carbonation in this beer is very high giving it a real crisp taste. The color is a straw yellow. The nose is hops up front with some citrus. As expected, the taste is light hops, citrus, and some malts lingering in the background. This beer was exceptionally crisp and clean on the palate and quite flavorful for a light lager. For this style of beer, I feel that this one was well done.

Poured from a 12-ounce bottle from variety pack into a plain pint glass.

A: Poured a very clear and pale straw yellow with a great two-finger head of rocky white foam which dissipated into a thin film. Lacing was decent for a light lager.

S: Smells of faint malt, some toasted corn, and a little metal.

T: The taste is very light; some cooked corn malt and faint hopping. There is no bitterness, and a sharp, clean carbonated bite.

M: Mouthfeel is light and bubbly.

D: Not that tasty, but it's a great way to beat the heat. That said, a low ABV and clean taste make for a very drinkable beer.

Probably satisfying for a light lager drinker and I give a microbrew/brewpub some props for brewing their own light lager to keep BMC light fans happy while offering them its own brew.

Had this at a recent tasting sponsored by Table and Vine. The drink settled as a pale, yellow-gold color with little to no head. The aromas were surprisingly strong in alcohol and a light yeast touch. In taste, there was a bready, slight citrus and hoppy flavoring to it. The drink, in general, had a smooth bitter taste. Mouthfeel was a good strength for this: really dry and light, very enjoyable. Overall, not the best light lager I have had but pretty good.

Pours a nice golden yellow with a medium sized and medium bodied white head that settles pretty fast and has a nice amount of lacing down the glass. It has a very light aroma of sweet malts and bitter hoppiness at the end. Nothing out of the ordinary in the nose. The taste was very good for a light lager though. The malts and the hops are very flavorful and it's nice because I wasn't expecting as much flavor as I was getting. Nice sweet toasted malts and a nice hoppy bitter make it a decent tasting light lager. The mouthfeel is crisp and refreshing which makes for a drinkable beer.

Girlfriend had this in the fridge, decided to review. Thats what they all say.

Pours with a very quickly disappearing head, to almost non existent. Watered down straw colored.

Sweet malt faintly comes in, maybe some sawdust, pretty tame.

Taste has a corn flavor in the beginning but it opens up somewhat with some additional malt, with a clean grain finish to it.

Mouthfeel is what it should be for this style, light refreshing with a thin body and maybe just a little too much carbonation. I might drink again but only if I didn't have a RIS.

Appearance: 1/4 inch head, medium carbonation, clear, straw yellow

Smell: grass and malt--almost pilsner like

Taste: Grass, sweet malt, a touch of tea

Mouthfeel: light body, high carbonation, smooth, somewhat sweetish

Drinkability:A light lager that feels like an average pils. There are several other light lagers I would choose first. Nothing to turn away, but certainly nothing to session.

I did not care for this beer. The other Opa Opa beers I have had were decent. I got this as a gift among several other six packs. I found it to have no microbrew qualities. I am not knocking it for being a light beer. i am knocking it for being a sub par light beer. I found it to be like any generic light beer, but with more of a fizzy, grainy taste. Little to no hops with an extremely light, straw like color. I did not finish the glass that I poured.

Sampled on tap at the Big E in West Springfield, Massachusetts on September 28. 2009. The pour is a very pale, straw yellow with little to no white head. It is more like a little fizz. The malts are the most notable scent on the nose but otherwise there is virtually nothing. I was satisfied with the mouthfeel. The taste has a dash of hops and bread but little in the way of malts, which are so evident in the aroma. It kind of had more of a flavor of a non-alcohol beer. This was not the most preferable introduction to their line of brews but indeed it had a pleasing freshness to it.

What's with the cowboys?

Pale straw color with a thin white head. Ok retetion, pretty standard looking for the style.

Aroma is of buttery pizza crust malt with light floral hop.

Tastes buttery and crisp with honeyed accents that coat my mouth.

I worked my way through the Opa Opa sampler 12 pack and this was my favorite of the bunch. It seems OO brews their beers with food in mind and this would go great with pizza or a burger.

12oz longneck.
A) Pours with a two finger head. Big bubbled and white. Slowly settles. Active upward carbonation. Clear body, golden in color, but pale gold.
S) Grassy. Grainy. Subtle citrus fruit.
T) The flavor is light. Some light banana and starfruit (maybe). At times nutty, but very faint. Finishes with a pleasant malty sweetness.
M) Crisp. Refreshing. Light body.
D) A decent light beer. I'd drink this before one of those other light beers!

I used to drink Opa light's after work all time to prevent taking insulin and keeping my blood sugar under control
Pours the atypical golden yellow with a quick dissipating white head, and has a lot of carbonation.
Smells of sweet citrus maybe even a little bit of hop trying to come through.
Mouthfeel is light bodied and fizzy.
It's not bad at all for a light beer. For the style of beer that it's supposed to be I believe that it's right on. A good beer for those just starting out or anyone watching calories or trying to keep their blood sugar under control. Especially good if you feel like slugging a couple down real quick haha.

Poured from a 12 oz. bottle into a pint glass.

Appearance: Pale yellow with a very thin, creamy white head that quickly fizzled away without leaving any trace of lace. A lot of upwards carbonation when poured.

Smell: A faint scent of hops accompanied by a grassy and almost sweet smell.

Taste: The taste is crisp though a bit mild. There are hints of floral and citrus flavors with a bit of a malty sweetness at the end.

Mouthfeel: Soft, with medium carbonation and refreshing.

Overall: A nice beer to sit back and enjoy on a hot day. It's not overwhelming on the palate and goes down easy and even though the flavor isn't as up front as I would like, I understand that it is a light beer.

Clear golden color that almost looks like apple juice thats been carbonated with a thin white head that fizzles to nothing.
Smells like an average light beer with some sweetness behind it as well. Almost like apples
Tastes a little sweet but nothings really strong enough to note. More flavor than most other light beers (maybe a little apple and lemon if anything) but not enough to really put your finger on them.
The mouthfeel is a little watery. I know its a light beer but I wish it at least had some more carbonation to it and was more crisp.
Overall its nothing special or mind blowing but its better than your run of the mill bud light or coors light. Plus I live by them and I think its kinda cool for such a small brewery to do a light beer.
