Bottle, forgot to record date, but it was in date. Plastic cup at work event.

A: poured a reddish hue with one finger off white head that faded quickly. Some lazy carbonation. A little retention and no lacing to speak of.

S: sweet, bready, malty, caramel. A clearly malt driven nose with lots of sweet caramel. A solid example of the style, not much in the way of hops or esters to set it apart.

T: sweet and malty arrival, a little floral or medicinal expression of hops in the middle and lingering for a second after the swallow, but overall a pretty caramel and malt-driven affair.

M: lighter end of midweight, moderate carbonation, pretty clean for an amber. Pairs well
With hot weather.

O: this is a great late 80s style craft beer: rich and sweet taste, moderate and mainly floral hopping, ample (though not excessive) carbonation. It is a well crafted and not too complex beer with an emphasis on drinkability and food pairing. Thicker and more expressive than Abita Amber, less so than Bell's Amber.

Pours an effervescent amber/copper with 2+ fingers of cream colored head. Good head retention & lacing

S: Faint breadyness & grainyness

T: Breadyness, a little toastyness, plus grassyness & grainyness up front. More grainyness, grassyness & dryness. Finishes grainy & slightly sweet

MF: Thin body, light carbonation

12 ounces of meh, glad I only purchased a single

I decided to edit my original review after drinking this for a night. I really enjoyed the smell and the taste during my first and second beers but by the fourth beer I started to question the taste. By the time I drank the last one, I was convinced this tasted no better than Hamm's. I didn't necessarily hate it, but I don't think I'd buy it again.

Over a plate of habanero chili Mac at Texas Chili Tavern, this provided a legendary amount of shade. Much respect. One tasty beer given the rough terrain. Thumbs up.

Tasted more like a brown ale to me. Sweet and malty, not very hoppy. However, I found it tasty and enjoyable, despite the divergence from expectations.

I like this beer! A little too much carbonation for me but overall a good brew.

My first time with this brewery. I've heard good things about it, but until now have never tried it myself. The Austin Amber Ale poured into a glass with a golden color and slight carbonation - small head. Light hops and some malty flavors. Not at all bitter - it had a decent flavor, but not overly strong in any particular direction. I would definitely drink this one again, but I won't go out of my way to get it.
