Visited here for lunch. Fairly well-lit and very clean. Long bar on right with small tables in front and on left. Around 60 beers on tap, 2 casks, and 120 bottles. Impressive selection focused mainly on imports with a fair amount of American crafts. Most were six bucks per draft. The bottles were overpriced. The beer was fresh - Had Belhaven's Bitter and Twisted on cask, followed by a Ct. Lawrence Pale on-tap. My two friends and I were happy with the beers we ordered. The bartender couldn't tell us anything about the other beer that was on cask, but did offer us a free sample. The menu was laid out in a very organized way - by styles and countries. It recommended that you ask the trained managers about the selections, showing that they take pride in their beer. The food menu was limited to a few sandwiches. I ordered the roast beef with horseradish sauce. It was pretty large, but a bit skimpy on the sauce. My two friends said that their sandwiches were okay - nothing special. Bottom line is that this place is well worth a visit to. The selection, both on-tap and in bottles is impressive. Located not far from Penn Station, so easy to get to if taking the train.

The Ginger Man is, without a doubt, one of the prime craft beer locations in Midtown Manhattan. My job takes into the city 10-15 days a year and The Ginger Man is almost always my watering hole of choice.

The interior is pretty the platonic ideal of the classic pub. Lots of wood and the expected pub decor. Every time that I've been there it's been packed or near packed, though I will say that I'm nearly always there around 5 PM on weekdays, so that likely accounts for some of it.

The selection is fantastic. 70ish taps, with a good variety of local, regional, and national craft, along with British, Belgian, and German highlights. Best of all, there's always two casks on handpump, which is what I tend to gravitate toward.

I've never actually eaten there, so I can't account for the food, but it looks to be solid, British-inspired pub grub.

Beyond the beer, there's an excellent selection of whiskey.

The service can be a little dicey, especially when it's at its peak business. Not unfriendly, just inattentive. Prices are high, but not exceptionally so for New York.

Great place, Vibe is relaxed but still classy, service is decent, although the bartenders are much friendlier then the waitresses, very good selection.

First time at the Ginger Man on November 14. Very nice space with high ceilings and plenty of seating. Huge tap list, although the offerings were not mind-blowing. Food was solid. My only complaint is that they need more servers - the table service was painfully slow.
