Served in tulip glass.

A darkish red amber, lighter and redder than expected color. Oddly, Very similar to their Hopgasm IPA which was on the table at the same time. Very creamy head with somewhat disappointing retention but left great lacing. Unfiltered but only slightly hazy.

Sweet yeasty aroma with notes of dark fruits and spices. High ABV evident. Floral notes over medium & dark roasted malt.

T - perhaps not quite as complex as the best Belgians, but rich and well-crafted. High ABV evident but partly hidden; not too spicy (subtle clove + ?) with more sense of raisins and generic dark fruits than clove or coriander.

M - Smooth; excellent carbonation; high ABV evident in astringency; relatively full bodied for style.

O - at $6 for about 8 oz, this had better be good ... it is. Recommended

On-tap at the brewpub. Named so from Office Space. You can just go ahead and move a little bit to the left, yeah, that's it. Great.

Pours a hazy purplish-brown color with a one-finger tan head. The head recedes into a thin layer on top leaving solid lacing.

Smells of dark malts with good amounts of plum and fig aromas. Also present are mild amounts of spices - brown sugar, nutmeg, and allspice if I had to guess.

Tastes more robust than it smells. Moderately sweet dark malt flavors kick things off and are joined quickly by solid amounts of different spices - mostly allspice and nutmeg. Midway through the sip booze-soaked dark fruit flavors - plums and raisins - work their way into things. Equal parts spices and dark fruits carry through to a mildly sweet ending.

Mouthfeel is very good. It's got a nice thickness with grainy carbonation.

Drinkability is good. I finished my glass without a problem and could have another.

Overall I thought the ABV was a bit high for the style but the flavor profile was spot on. A nice and complex beer that's well worth a shot.

Appearance: Opaque, dark reddish-brown body with a fluffed, beige-colored head. Satisfactory lacing on the way down.

Smell: Notes of bready, toasty malts, moist sugars, fruit, spices, and booze, with the spice and booze scents being the more predominate of the bunch.

Taste: Blend of brown sugar and rock candy with a tasty of dry, crusty bread. Moderately sweet. Slices of banana washed in plum wine and peach schnapps. Notably spicy, akin to fresh ground cloves being administered to the glass. Some clear alcoholic heat all the way through to the dry, spicy, warm finish.

Mouthfeel: Medium-plus body. Medium-plus carbonation.

Overall: A bit more spicy and boozy than appreciated. Finished the goblet with no desire to fight down a second one.

Comes out of the tap a deep, opaque coffee brown with a fairly thick light tan head. Malty aroma has tone of caramel and a hint of semi-sweet chocolate. Rich, crisp flavor has firm tones of malt, chocolate and caramel as well as an underpinning of apple brandy. Texture is rather smooth and fizzy, and leaves a good tingle and a bit of an alcohol bite.
