There is two beers that burn my stomach after 1 can. This one and lasko beer. Atleast lasko beer gave me kick. It is just that ingredient in this mess up stomach if you have acid problem. I stay away from this one.

Poured from 500mL tall can into a dimpled mug.
Appearance: rich copper hue with no haze, minimal effervescence and a finger of frothy ivory foam. Head retention is OK but that color is just so appealing.
Smell: malty and slightly fruity, but the main aroma I get here is Darjeeling tea. Maybe it's a weird combination of apple and toasted malt, but the end effect is Darjeeling. Weird, but I like it.
Taste: that Darjeeling effect shows up at the beginning of the palate, but this quickly fades into a more standard toasted malt character. It's not bad at all.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a good carbonation and a decent creaminess.
Overall: this is an interesting and pretty good beer. The tea element draws me to it, and I feel like I could drink plenty of it in the right setting.

I love Red Racer IPA. I love the fact that Central City produces great beer at incredibly reasonable prices. Unlike my lyrical hero Gordon Downie, I cannot "get behind anything". This beer is on par with Kokanee Gold. Nothing more, nothing less. Shitty caramel flavored ale. You are better off buying "craft knock off" brands for a cheaper price.

Pours light copper with a flash in the pan head. Wet grains, caramel, mineral aromas in the nose. The taste is malt forward with toffee notes and light toastyness. Some fruity esters with warmth. Very restrained hop aroma and light bitterness in the finish.
Light flavored and approachable, a good gateway craft beer but a bit pedestrian. Worth a try if you like malty ales or are just getting into better beer.
