Cloudy straw golden with 5 fingers of rocky, off white head. Only a little carbonation is visible in this brew, but it was a gusher.
Smells of apple sauce and cinnamon, malts, creme brulee, and canned pear juice.
Tastes of apple sauce, cinnamon, pear juice and tin can.
Light body with little carbonation.
Got this with the Across the Nation pack, drinking in Muskoka, April 16th, 2018.

Clear gold with a good head. Citrus hop nose. Wheaty body with crisp carbonation. Difficult to tell it's a Hefe though so marked down a bit.

No 4 from the 12 pack mix
Pours a pale yellow with a 1 inch white head. It fades quickly leaving some faint lacing.
Smell of pale malts, some citrus some sweetness.
Tastes like a light german type ale with some nice extra hops. Not overly carbonated with a peppery finale
Nicely balanced beer. Easy to drink and refreshing. A nice summer beer. Would buy again!

330 ml bottle served cold into a pint glass. Final collaboration, this time on the east coast with Quidi Vidi Brewery from Newfoundland. Served cold into a pint glass.
Appearance - Surprisingly clear pale golden beer with little haze. More kristalweizen for this reason. A decent finger of brilliant white head rests on top but doesn't stay too long. Small frothy wisps of foam stick around for a much longer duration.
Smell - Assertively hopped, some earthy notes, pepper and hints of citrus namely orange and lime. Not much of the classic banana and clove.
Taste - Again rather well hooped but banana, clove and especially bubblegum shine through with jjust a little of the citrus in the background. Tastes very much like a well-hopped hefe.
Mouthfeel - Fairly light with expressive carbonation and a tingling sensation on the tongue from the clove and citrus combo.
Overall - Not necessarily to style in a classic sense, this is nonetheless a tasty summer treat that improves as it warms.A respectable addition to the collaboration pack.

Pours a bright gold, clear body with a slightly soapy head. On the nose, phenolic compounds reminiscing fresh banana cloves, along with a certain tropical note lingering in the back. The palate is dry, with an additional banana and spice note which goes to create some vaguely citric aftertaste. This is a fairly well-done hefeweizen and does justice to the style, though it does not scream anything special.

330 mL bottle from the LCBO; bottled Mar 31 2017 and served slightly chilled. One of six beers in their "Across the Nation Collaboration (East)" mixed pack. This is the closest I've come to trying a beer from Newfoundland (though I'll admit that it was technically brewed in BC).
Pours a lightly hazed brassy-golden hue, with one finger of soapy white foam gathering atop; it wilts away within the next minute or two, but is easily revived with a swirl of the glass. A bubbly collar of froth survives afterwards, but there's not much in the way of lace. The aroma is closer to that of a hopfenweisse, or even a Belgian IPA, than an honest-to-goodness hefeweizen. I'm picking up pineapple, citric lemon zest and white grapes, with the standard bready wheat malt sweetness and banana esters rounding out the nose nicely. Suggestions of clove, pear and floral hops.
This one was looking promising, but I must admit the first sip was a bit of a letdown. It tastes of grainy, crackery pale malts and bready wheat, with its muddled hop flavours being largely relegated to the tail end of the profile. I'm getting some pineapple and diluted grapefruit citrus notes, as well as hints of peach, green banana, white grape skin, clove spice and a faint wisp of floral hops towards the finish. Slightly bitter aftertaste as the hops linger briefly. Light-medium body, with moderate carbonation levels that provide a good bite as they firmly agitate the palate surface. This one grew on me a little as it warmed (i.e. the first sip was the most disappointing), but even by the end of the glass, I wasn't all that impressed.
Final Grade: 3.66, a decent B grade. Hop to the East made for an interesting tipple, but it's not one of the better "hoppy hefes" I've tried over the years. Inoffensive flavour, but also a bit incoherent; the tropical fruit notes and bitterness supplied by the hops kind of clash with the underlying wheat ale, at least IMO. A hybrid that falls somewhere between a hefe, a North American pale wheat ale and a hopfenweisse, failing to slide itself neatly into any of those categories. That doesn't make it an inherently bad beer... but I'd be lying if I said that I plan to seek out and drink more of it.

Bottle: Poured a clear yellow color Weizen with a medium white foamy head with OK retention and minimal lacing. Aroma of light sweet malt notes with some minor tropical hops notes. Taste is a refreshing mix of sweet wheat malt notes with light bubble-gum ester with some minor tropical hops notes. Body is light with OK carbonation. Enjoyable with limited complexity.
